While we're getting back onto the positive side of things...anyone had the newest North and Western batch? Wow! I'm not usually a Saison guy, but this worked for me. It is a pretty hopped up version of a Saison, but still finished with a nice floral kick. Seems like the perfect beer to drink outside on a patio during a summer afternoon.

I would recommend not drinking an ipa before that saison.. Flavors get all funky. But definitely a good summer brew

The experimental was a BA stout with coconut so I'd guess BA TNA.

The experimental stout was BA TNA that lost a bit of its original character in the barrel.

Ahh, my bad guys. Didn't know it was coconut they put in there. But that stands to reason then that it was the BA TNA. Thought it was a pretty damn delicious beer nevertheless.

    July 11, 2014 Update

Distro for all this good stuff begins 7/14

NEW! Scott's Weirdo Pear Pale Ale
With an open spot on the brew schedule for this month, Scott, brewer, demanded that we make a pale ale using an english yeast fermented at a higher temp for to produce lots of fruity esters. Scott also added tons of pear and a touch of cinnamon. It's subtly spicy, with lots of ripe fruit aroma and flavor. Scott's motto, "Scoop it up!" is good advice when it comes to this beer.

    Unicorn Galaxy
With scoops and scoops of juicy Australian galaxy hops, this DIPA is stellar. The Unicorn has decided to go where no Ninja has gone before, and head into space, he has an extra space suit. Join him?
    $10.99, 22oz, 9.5% ABV

Sorry for the delay, I'll pm those who had flat Citra, etc., bottles this weekend. I think maybe I forgot because that thread got locked right after we were talking about it.

Also midsummer is not the meowgarita, it's an apricot pale ale... Kate wasn't at her best today when writing the email blast. :stuck_out_tongue:

Anyone know what happened to the Brown n Stirred mentioned in the July 3rd update? Is that being bottled? Or maybe it's delayed? Odd it was left out of yesterday's update.

    July 14, 2014 Update
    [IMG]

We will be releasing a collaboration beer with our friends at Longman and Eagle soon. We are brewing up a rye strong ale inspired by the Manhattan cocktail that is partially bittered with roots and barks (to emulate both vermouth and bitters) and has cherries added. $10.99, 22 oz, 10.5% ABV

We are aging most of this in Rittenhouse rye barrels for release in the future but a small portion of the unaged will be packaged for release soon.

Pipeworks is allocating the limited yield from a non-barrel aged version to FwB's. Set to hit Castle Vav and WLV, in line with past practice.

Cracked a batch 209 BA Jones Dog finally. Really tasty, but still a little thin I feel like. IDK I just think the Abduction base is better suited for the barrel than JD. Still good though! A ton of heat, gonna sit on my other 209 and 75 for a while.

So when exactly will the Brown and Stirred be available to FWB at said pickup locations? This weekend?
