New here. My office "cellar" and garage mini fridges. Most of my IPAs are kept in the normal kitchen fridge for impending consumption. Drinking 2010 Abyss at the brewery that same year is what got me started in really good beer, so I have a few going back that far. Mostly I didn't start collecting/cellaring until a little over a year ago though. I have since consumed one Mogli and the Speedway Stout. Both were excellent. But I also added another Firestone 17.

For what it's worth, I live in Yakima, WA. Land of hop fields. :grinning:

First of all: "ONE of" yours???????
Dare I ask what the other(s) are like?
Second: I hate you (in the best possible way!)

Finally got around to taking a few pictures... not everything in here is necessarily being "cellared". Quite a bit is just in there for storage purposes...

My plan next week is to organize, inventory, and throw some chalkboard paint on the front of the fridge.

I reorganized a couple weekends ago, in an effort to make more efficient use of the space. Managed to fit all the beer down in the cellar for the first time in a while! Of course, another 16 bottles of beer from The Bruery arrived this afternoon, so back to square one I guess

When I left the house I was renting, I was able to take a refrigerator that they had in the garage. So I made it my beer fridge. I can't fit about 30 or so bottles in here so my goal is to drink down my stash until it all fits in the fridge. Since I bought a house I have wanted to cut my expenses and built up my savings again so I think I'll be able to stick to that.

I live in a city where a $2000 wine cooler is pennies compared to having a basement... so I bought such a wine cooler.

What model is that? It looks nice. I'm stuck in a condo and a cheat freezer or separate freezer less fridge isn't a look I'm going for.

It's a Cavavin 160NSZ, I heard good things from a couple friends who have experience with a few different wine coolers, and definitely can only say good things myself. The shelves are pretty sturdy but I do find they bow a bit more than I'd like with a full shelf load of uprights, so I'm going to replace those with 3/4" solid wood soon. It has a few fans along the back wall, so ventilation should still be pretty OK I think

I've been working on the lambic part of the cellar lately. I have one more 60 bottle rack arriving today which should be enough to hold the rest of my bottles. For now....:grinning:

Not so much the collection, but the cellar itself. Hand crafted by my dad. I mentioned in passing one day that he should build me a beer cellar (he's a talented wood worker), so he presented me with this on my birthday this year. It's solid oak with a combination lock at the top (for when my son gets a little older . All of the shelves glide out flawlessly and all the spots are lined at the bottom with hand-cut cork. There are 66 spots for 12oz bottles and 22 for bombers and 750ml. I was absolutely blown away when he presented it to me. The craftsmanship and creativity is outstanding.

There's no temp control, though they've been sitting in cardboard boxes in my basement so I don't think it really needs it, but he said he could probably do it if I wanted. Also he's thinking about putting in a little light.

Sorry for the picture quality, which does not do it justice.

Talented indeed! That is awesome. Now the question is can you get him to build you a couple more for when your cellar inevitably outgrows it :stuck_out_tongue:

I know haha. He was surprised to see that it went from brand new to half-full! I guess I'll just have to drink more, for his sake.
