I love almost all beers styles (including sours). However, I just can't drink lagers and pilsners...

Let's omit all lagers because....you know...lagers. I'd say American Blonde Ale. Very dull.

The new Anderson Valley gose was quite good. It has started to change my opinion.

Spiced beers and very hoppy stouts. YUCK!!! Although Copper Kettle Mexican chocolate stout is spiced but also delicious.

Agree on the blonde ale, but all lagers? That's a pretty broad scope.

What is it about Ballast Point Victory at Sea that you dislike? With it being a porter and all that

Sours and Saisons are at the bottom of the list. But they are still ahead of BMC!

Anything noticeably hoppy with Belgian yeast (Belgian IPA, I guess): disgusting. Ramped up hops combined with that funky yeast is an absolute abomination. Otherwise, I generally enjoy more traditional Belgian styles.

Second that on the Blonde Ales - usually not offensive by any means, just a very boring style. They're like the macro AALs of the craft world.

I've never tried sours or smoked beers, which seem to be getting a lot of press in this thread, and I can't see myself liking either too much.

(Dis)honorable Mention: Imperial Stouts. I can appreciate a good one, truly, but just never go out of my way to buy them (partly because of the high price). Drinking one is like drinking a burnt liquid meal - I just don't like that heaviness in a beer, or any beverage.

vegetable beer... I've never had one that I actually enjoyed drinking. Which is funny because I've known people that like them and I'm just like what the hell, really??? lol...

the best smoked beer I've ever had is Aecht Schlenkerla RauchBier Urbock. Made by a German brewery, it tastes like smoked sausage and bacon, people often describe it as bar-b-q in a bottle. I would recommend it for people that have never tried a smoked beer or for people that just don't care for smoked brews. It's a completely different take on the usual American smoked beers. Rauchbier Urbock made my personal top 10 list of best beers of 2013.
