I hit up Sisyphus on Friday. Was pretty busy and no air conditioning so it was hot as hell in the tap room. Nice place. Doesn't have the character that Dangerous Man or Indeed has, but still nice. Parking is slightly difficult (though with the block party it was worse). The beers were ok. I had the IPA which was not good at all. The black ale with coffee was decent. My friend had the other two and said they were ok and tasted very similar. 2 barrel system so hopefully they'll be mixing it up soon.

I went to Sisyphus Friday as well. Got there around 11pm, parking sucked but that was because of the Saint Basilica block party I think. The room was clean, looked nice, and had free shuffle board, but was very hot and muggy. The bar tender was super friendly and gave my girlfriend and I a nice nice taster of each beer no charge. We both enjoyed the coffee stout the most. I did not care for the pale ale or the Kentucky common at all, but the IPA was decent. It's their first go-around so I think id go back especially since its a small 2b system.

Waconia Brewing started getting their equipment this week. I imagine they're still a couple months away from opening.

I had the DIPA as well and did not think it was awful, not great, but really not too bad, I enjoyed mine. I know they are using Galaxy Hops, I have not had any galaxy hop beer that has really wowed me, seems to have a bit of a different flavor profile to me. I also have had the Honey ale that I liked very much and the (sessionable) Chocolate Milk Stout was nice as well, good summer stout!
Give them a chance- good guys, they'll get things settled out!

Urban Growler is open to the public as of yesterday. I stopped by their preview last week - the beers were a solid start and the cubano sandwich was pretty good. The space is great too, and it's right behind Bang, so you can two'fer it.

Is Urban Growler a brewpub, or is it the first production brewery in the state to actually have its own kitchen? Either way I like to eat while I drink, and I'm a lot more likely to go to a brewery when I don't have to adjust my schedule to fit the food truck owner's schedule.

They are the first production brewery with food, I believe. They are planning on having tap accounts and I see no reference to brewpub anywhere on their site. They also have table service with servers which distinguishes them from most of the other tap rooms.

Awesome, hopefully this becomes the norm for taprooms.

I went to Bauhaus last weekend, and thought it was great. Taproom was great, food trucks on site, the beer was awesome! Also in walking/bking distance of 612, Indeed, and Dangerous Man if you're adventurous.

Well, atleast the all women owners know their place should be in the kitchen, so they put one in.

(Please note this is completely a joke.)

Which completely fails as a joke because it still reinforces the stereotype. Poorly played.

No, it actually doesn't. Poorly played.

Urban Growler does more to reinforce the stereotype than my joke did.

"Historically, brewing was part of women’s work. It was part of the cooking detail, so the earliest brewers were women"

Not everyone can "do" post modern sarcasm by way of internet fora. :slight_frown:

P.S. Some other updates on the way. Including Pryes Brewing taking in on the fun over at Lucid.
