Mmmm, gotta love "needing permissions" to view anything. Still not getting a facebook account, still don't see a reason...just another event I won't know the details to and won't go to because of it.

But to keep this post positive, happy international beer day everyone!

Here are the only event summary details they have posted so you're not missing much as of yet.
"The Tasting Room will be closed for an exclusive night with our Reserve & Hoarders Society members. Special beers will be available and The Bruery staff will be on hand to enjoy the evening with you."
Edit: It's from 5pm-10pm in case you weren't sure, but it was in the initial e-mail as well.

I had a conversation w/ Matt and he said it will function similar to a normal night in the taproom, just less crowded (provided not every member shows up). It will be a pay as you go type thing and he mentioned the event won't be anything crazy but they will likely have a few special things for us on tap.

It looks like they got a lot of backlash for not allowing +1s, so I got the impression this is a trial run (at a small venue) and probably won't happen again in the same fashion. Either way, I am happy to get a little breathing room and enjoy a few hours at the TR. See you guys there

I feel like it has the potential to be just as crowded if not more crowded considering how many members live in the area but who knows.

Yeah, I'm honestly concerned that this will actually be much busier than the typical Monday night.

Facebook has over 110 RSVP's and figure another 20-30 non FB people show up. Almost every time I'm in there past 5PM it seems to be near capacity (given Monday's are less busy), any idea on what the cap is? Maybe 200?

I think it's higher, but assuming that were true, would they violate fire code or make people wait in line outside? And if we're a Hoarder, can we cut all the RS members?

Place seems pretty packed even when there are 70-80 people so that sounds pretty close.

I'm headed there, hoping for some good stuff on tap that isn't normally available. But aren't we all hoping that? Hah

I don't see how you can do a member night for this in any shape that they are.

Maybe instead of cramming it all into one day, just make it so that HS/RS get to order drinks for an hour before regular service starts in the tasting room - though, I guess with allocations moving down the parkway, I don't even know if they are open like they were before in the tasting room for purchases/pick ups.

I'm skipping out simply because I get the feeling it will be as crowded, if not more so. Especially with members thinking this is going to be some sort of way crazy tap list for some unknown reason. Gotta hammer it home more that this is just a RS/HS only in the tasting room and not some convention gathering of the societies.

Yeah I'm debating going now. I'm not all that concerned with them having anything super crazy (not that I think what the Bruery has said implies that). I just don't think I feel like driving down there this afternoon being that I was there a week or so ago and I think it's going to be pretty damn crowded. Gonna be a game time decision.

Capacity is 96 I believe, was there last night, and saw that above the front door.

Bit off topic, but related to PS/RS/HS tasting room service.

I've suggested in the past, via the survey's, that they should have a seperate service desk for their societies, much like many, many winery clubs do. (The new pick up facility is a great step in this direction ) but I mean for actually tasting their beers/ Could be a seperate room, seperate site, but to be pratical, due to licensing, just needs to be a seperate desk/bar top, with a person that serves the societes. I often wondered, when they had the RS pick up inside the tasting room, why I was unable to also order a beer from that person, given they were already there, being paid, providing service, and could just take a few steps to the side and pour a beer. Especially since the only thing missing would be an IPAD, with a Square attached (or an actual register) and a sign hanging from the ceiling that say's (Society members order here) Would be a fantastic service perk/experience for their members, since I know that having a sense of comraderie, friendship/fellowship synergy with the members of the societies, and the Bruery, is something they hoped for (such as the Forum they tried a few years back) and having seperated services, knowing everyone in line with you is also a member, is a means of establishing that.

How's that working, are they just not letting people in until someone leaves?
