Last night, I opened a Prairie "The Beer that Saved Christmas" to discover that it is sour. Definitely not what I was expecting and not very pleasant but per the websites description, "The Beer that Saved Christmas is an old ale aged in oak barrels with a mixture of wild bacteria. Notes of chocolate, cherry, vanilla and caramel can be found in this holiday beer." Who would have known?

Usually try to find something good with anything but,
Southern Tier Creme Brulee - like drinking sugar, too sweet
I have heard of people loving this beer but I can't drink it.
Troegs Mad Elf - also too sweet too much honey
Could have been old but wont buy this again - 500 BC by Humboldt, malt bomb, not what u want out of an IPA.

Bourbon County line of beers. Well, I may never purchase them again more than never have a taste. I don't need to seek out 13+% beers. There are other stouts I'd rather have at lower abv.

I was playing golf in 35 degree temperature, 25 mph wind, and thought a wheatwine might make sense. The Smutty Wheatwine lost to the elements and we ended up dumping it and cheering as it froze into the dormant Bermuda Grass. That was an awful beer that might just suit a serious masochist. Yikes!

Heineken Special Dark is by far the worst beer I've ever had. Its the only beer I've ever drained and I would take a 3.2% bud light before that again

Foothills' Hoppyum IPA. As much as I may have come around with the hops thing, this was just a bitter bomb.

ST's 2XIPA was the same way - nothing of note that was pleasant, just bitter.

I drank a Redd's Apple Ale once... once.

PUMPKING. And I like pumpkin-everything. Overly sweet, fake-tasting mess.

    Yeah I said it.

There is not a beer I've had that I would not try again.

Tastes change...up until a year ago I hated IPAs (I'm 49)...would hate to think I would have said "I'm never going to try "insert IPA" again". Also you may have had a bad batch?

Lastly...it's beer, just as with food...I'm a gamer...I might not finish it but I will always try again and anyways I guess I've never had any beer that was that bad or food for that matter?
