    Oh gawd, my heart skipped a beat for a minute there! I thought the new release was out already and they skipped Ohio... even though I called my local store about getting my name on a list last week, as well as for MARS. This is the beer I've been looking forward to most this year by far.

    Glad you added the caveat there. I have to trade for FIS and Expedition so this gets me hard every year, even it's still our summer in Nor Cal.

    We get great Founders distro; it's probably the only thing we do get quite well. Plenty of FIS, FBS, and BB to go around, and it usually lasts for quite a bit. We don't get Bell's in this state, so Expedition isn't an option, and Black Note is a freaking dream.

    FIS is one of the best - and possibly the best - non-BA imperial stouts I've ever had. It's my boozy chocolate banana smoothy. Unbelievably delicious and thick. Ten-FIDY is arguably better than Narwhal, too. But Narwhal just has this roasty, dark quality to it that, even if the beer isn't measurably better, I just happen to love it. It's like liquid deja vu for me: it tastes like nostalgia, without any right or reason. :slight_smile:
