I think the key is making the beers name the most visible thing. The name needs to be bold and center stage. I think the new one still does that.

 

If the beer keeps flowing, I think the logo is going to turn out just fine

 

I think it's a decent t-shirt design but too involved for a logo that gets emblazoned on everything.

FWIW: Your original works better as a logo. Even though it is pretty textbook I don't mind it actually. It's only real shortcoming is that the typeface is pretty blasé. But even that kinda relates to the pictograms. Just don't go super obvious and make the paddle and wrench the crossbones for a skull.

Im cool with PW doing a pumpkin beer, but lets do it right, use actual fresh pumpkin. You know, like brewers used to do. Now all they care about is being the first out. Where do you think they are getting the fresh pumpkin in july? There arent any, they have to be using canned junk from last year.

Pumpkin should be released from September to December then I don't want to hear about them again till the following year
