The Kentucky Guild of Brewers and two local Indiana breweries were all given barrels (apple or grape) from new brandy distillery, Copper and Kings, here in Louisville. They are hosting an event during Louisville Craft Beer Week on September 20th (also Zwanze Day), so if you're in Louisville stop by!

$45... that seems a tad steep to me, does any one know what the ticket price includes?

It says a pig roast is planned and music. Sounds awesome but the price is steep.

There will be a pigroast, music, brandy tasting, and then the beer fest of 12 breweries with 2-3 beers, including a brandy barrel aged beer. Not being negative, but explain how $45 is too cheap in your opinion? If I listed all the brandy aged beers and other beers being poured, would that make it "not cheap" if you knew the lineup?

Yes, more details would certainly be appreciated. Are you distributing tickets for beer or do you just pay an entrance fee? Two ounce pours? In other words, does the $45 cover everything? Beer list? Looks intriguing.

I often pay $25 to $35 for a beer fest with no food. So $45 for great brews with good food is not to bad. Would love to have more details however.

Scheduling this the same day as Zwanze was not a great idea.

$45 gets you all the food and beers. There will be 2 ounce pours and a pig roast.

Based on Zwanze, there are two sessions, 11-2 or 4-7. The event was to go in Louisville Craft Beer Week so it was against that or Bo and Luke. Since ATG is a participating brewer and sponsor for LCBW, the 20th was chosen. I'll press them for me details. Thanks for the great thoughts/criticisms.

This is during Louisville craft beer week. Max capacity of HG plus GraleGarten is 200 tops. There is plenty of room for another event.

Looks like a solid event. Hope to be able to make it!

This is the thread for this beer fest from 2014, and I saw the ad in this month's BA magazine that it is being held again at the end of October. Did anyone in this forum go last year, and if so, how was it. Here's a Facebook link to this years info for a comparison: https://www.facebook.com/copperandkings/events?ref=page_internal

I actually created/promoted the event last year. The beer was awesome, low numbers with lots of events going on in town. With the addition of 3F, dogfish and Oskar Blues...it should be even better. The location is the best spot in Louisville. I highly recommend it. Disclaimer: I have nothing to do with it this year, so not trying to make it seem what its not.
