Cardinal rules of beer

I had an eye opening experience last weekend that scared the hell out of me.

 

Rule #83 If its a tasty beverage, drink it. If its cesspool swill, send it back to BMC.

 

Sorry to hear that my man. I hope you shake off the trauma of that experience in good form.

ooh...I totally disagree, at Total Wine I can buy just one or two vs a 6 pack,and thus enjoy a whole lot more different beers than a normal 6 pack store. But hey, just do what works for you.

 

That is very true, you can buy just one of a beer instead of the whole six pack, but have you looked at the cost of that one beer? A mix a sixer there will easily cost you $18, or the price for 2 six packs of beer. When is that a good deal?

 

Discourage your significant other from discovering the wonderful world of craft. You will most usually need a sober driver...

These are my golden rules (well actually they're more like beer mantras):
If you can afford Budweiser, then you can afford craft beer.
Pay $4 dollars more, get 10 x the taste.
Support local (craft) breweries.
(Craft) beer contains antioxidants, B-vitamins, trace nutrients, and is a whole food.

1b) Sometimes reality is challenging, if so revert to rule 1)

 

Respect beer, yes. Love it, we all do. Don't take beer too seriously, it to be enjoyed. After all, it's only beer! We all (myself included) sometimes forget this.

 

CL tasted a bit better, the stuff that tastes good after icebocking will taste good but obviously eisbocking doesn’t work wit hall styles.

 

Mine is don't dump the yeast at the bottom of the bottle! Swirl and top off! Extra mouthfeel .

 

If you have the opportunity to travel, drink the local beer at your destination. You may not always get an amazing beer, but you will support the local breweries and have a chance to drink some beer that you wont get a chance to otherwise. I use google and BA to map out places of interest and so far it's been great.

 

Don't feel that you have to answer, but what happened?

 

Don't mow yer lawn without a beer. Also check to see that your lawn mower has a cupholder before purchasing.
