Beer Camp in New York

    Good luck on landing one. I've had 3 so far....decent but not breath taking. The bomber was only fair.

    I actually managed to snag one yesterday! They ended up getting 16 total rather than only 8. Haven't cracked it open yet, I'll probably get started this afternoon. Where should I start?

    Just nabbed another one from owner of restaurant friend. Had There and back-Chico King and Maillard's Odyssey so far. Don't think there's any wrong or right way to start.

    Distribution is so bizarre. I was vacationing last week near Winchester, VA (population 27,000), where I saw at least 20 12-packs sitting there untouched, on display. My local beer shop got 6 12ers (in Brooklyn). Just bizarre.

    These beers excelled in mediocrity IMO. I feel a bit taken by the price, but I did enjoy the variety of beers that Id usually never/rarely buy.

    Yep. I was on LBI the last week of July and I stopped at the Buy Rite in Manahawkin before going on the island and they had piles of the 12 packs, at $16.99 per.

    I was disappointed with it, but not as much as if I paid my normal NYC prices for it.
