When I saw it on Tesco's shelves I was all like

    OHWOWOWOWOWOWOWOWOWOWOWOWOWOWOWOWOWOWOWOWOWO OHHHHHH WOW!

Then I bought it and drank it and was like hmmmmmmm.

I got a similar response to Aurelio that I had at start6 of year ordered another by accident with online shop
(thought was ordering orpheus their stout) giving it another go, fridge cooled this time.

Today I had a disappointing trip to Brewdog Cardiff. I paid £3.95 for a half pint of the cheapest Brewdog special - U-Boat (collab w/ Victory) which at best was a mediocre stout.

Got out of there sharpish and headed quickly to the nearby Tap House for some Tiny Rebel Dirty Stop Out and a jerk chicken burger to save the day. Both were brilliant and the day was indeed saved.

Having a break tonight as I'm spending my time tomorrow between The Hanging Bat and The Bow Bar. Had a 750 of Flying Monkeys Shoulder of Giants Imperial IPA last night though. I tell you, the monkeys were flying out of my butt after drinking that.

Hit up Wetherspoons and brought home 9 cans of the Sixpoint range. Bengali Tiger is good, rest are average at best. Still 9 US imports for £17 was worth a punt. I wish it was 9 Bengali Tigers...

Are they still holding up? they've been out a while now

Thought sweet action was ok in the US, only tried the bengali tiger here and it was good

Our water has been off for ten hours so I substituted beer for tea when I came home this evening. Homebrew only so not that exciting

Going to head up to Loch Lomond tomorrow so might try and visit the brewery there, their bravehop beers were quite good iirc

    Love Bengali Tiger.

Edit to add, had a couple of pints of Stewart Brewery Jack (Back) in Linlithgow tonight...lovely.

Found a superb Tesco Finest Porter there too.

Treated myself to a can of Beavertown Neck Oil, and a bottle of Siren QIPA.
So far, the Neck Oil is lovely, a great beer to be able to swig out of the can.

Had a pint of Cameron House ale yesterday up at the Boathouse there - it's rebadged keg bitter and twisted - I certainly preferred the cask version I had a couple of days before, but it was still fine. For a five star hotel their beer choice is closer to one star. Other highlights were bud, peroni, sol etc etc. Pathetic.

Went to the London Craft Beer Festival over the weekend, sampled many beers!

    Green Flash West Coast IPA

    Sierra Nevada Equinox Harvest

    Signature Brew Candela Gold

    Brewdog / Victory Brewing U-Boat

Burning Sky Plateau - Pale Ale

The Kernel Table Beer (Simcoe, Mosaic)

    Redchurch Brewery Broadway Black

    Howling Hops Rye Gose

    Weird Beard Sadako

    Brew By Numbers 14 | 01 Tripel

    Thornbridge Brewing Parma Porter

    Founders Porter

    Stone and Wood Pacific ale

    Sierra Nevada Hoptimum

    Buxton Saison

    Buxton Far Skyline

    Buxton Axe Edge

Sierra Nevada Pale Ale (Had to happen! First time on tap, even better!)

    Pressure Drop Strictly Roots

    Beavertown Lemon Phantom

Magic Rock Bearded Lady (BA Bourbon Imperial Russian Stout) - My favourite of the festival, rivals Goose Island's Bourbon County Stout... one to watch.

After this we popped for a swift pint before catching the train. Had a Timothy Taylor's Landlord for good measure and tried the new Greene King crafty beer called Noble Craft Lager. It just tasted like Carlsberg and I don't recommend!

Wowser, shout out for the Axe Edge - best ipa in the UK (arguably).

Quaffing a surprisingly nice Brains Milkwood, and listening to Richard Burton narrating the same poem.

It was a good day! Axe Edge was awesome, got to try some Ace Edge also which was just as good if not better. The Buxton guys are doing some great stuff at the moment. Nothing wrong with a Milkwood!

just back home after 12 days in that London, have no idea how many beers I sampled at GBBF (but virtually all USA Cask Beers + many more) and Craft Beer London but let's just say I had my fair share. A couple of weeks rest and recuperation before it's Leeds International Beer Festival.
