Iron Hill Maple Shade NJ - Great Pumpkin?

    Greetings and salutations-

    Womdering if anyone has heard any skuttlebutt pertaining to Iron Hill Maple Shade's annual "Welcome Great Pumpkin" event? Last year they sent the e-mail out to mug club/King of the Hill members around August 16th annoucning a date. All is silent so far this year. I know they plan on releasing the actual beer on September 5th (Friday) but nothing has been said about the welcome event.

    I've had my eye out for awhile but have not come across any type of annoucement. Thought they'd make an announcement before posting on thier site. I thought wrong.

    This is something I look forward to all year. Last year I missed the drinking from the pumpkin. This year I'll make sure I'm there around noon. I honestly think Iron Hill's Great Imperial Pumpkin holds its own against any pumpkin beer out there.

    We went last year for the first time and had a good time. It was fun to try all of the beers and order most of the pumpkin inspired food specials. We previously hit up the Institute for their pumpkin event each year, but once we moved to the burbs, we figured we would give this one a shot.

    If you want to sit at the bar area and close to the action, definitely get there early. If you don't mind a table away from the action, a few may be available after the event begins. Any later and you will be parking at the tail end of the industrial park and standing.

    Time for the yearly bump. Since Chris is no longer with Maple Shade is this event still being held this year? Anyone get wind of any details yet?
