I'll join you in that sentiment, so that makes two of us at least .

I think a lot of you are probably paying more for bombers than I do. Lagunitas' price point is good, but I think a lot of equivalent 22oz bottles I get locally are in the $5 range. Yes we sometimes see $10 bombers but those tend to sit on shelves for a very long time. Is this maybe a regional thing?

Three Floyds, Black Husky, Toppling Goliath and so many more are all $8-$12 a bomber. This is in WI, where beer is cheap.

I'm sure I've paid that much on occasion too (I think Stone 18th anniversary was $10 for example), but I'd consider those prices outliers for this market... Firestone Walker bombers are around $8 I believe, and they seem to languish. I think Oregon is even cheaper. Could be wrong, but if I had to put an average price on non-barrel-aged/exotic bombers I'd probably say $6 or $7.

Can someone explain how Lagunitas sustains with their pricing and or how come other breweries of their skill level and size don't have similar pricing?

I'm going to say volume; they are 5th largest craft brewery at 401 bbls per year.

Hop Stoopid is like 3.49-3.99 here.

Here in MD we get the good-priced Lagunitas bombers for like $5 to $6, and Stone is second, but has been coming in more expensive lately at usually $10, and as low as $8. I almost never see the SSSRA bombers or Stone IPA bombers at all around here, but they are usually at Lagunitas prices.

    Beer is expensive in MD.

Stone is $7-$10 in Jersey, which is $2-$3 more than Lagunitas
Because other breweries care more about profits than their consumers, and you shouldn't support their perpetuation of the idea that quality beer should cost that much

Hairy Eyeball is one of my favorite old ales/barleywines, and I really enjoy their big mild Censored and Imperial Stout. Cheers

"Has been?" Has been for a long time!

Lagunitas and Sierra Nevada...available everywhere and top notch regular releases. I can grab these at most grocery stores around here.

I was lucky enough to find Space Station for 8.99 at a local store and picked up a few to try...I thought it was really good. My question is why aren't the bomber varieties offered in normal 6 packs? I would much rather pay 10 for a sixer than 9 for 22oz.

Glad I saw this thread -- I came across one of the styles I favor in a bomber with what i thought was a ridiculously low price, which I assumed was because the retailer was trying to move out of inventory, and had failed at the higher price ... Will go back in on Monday to give it a try!

Nighttime was alright but their record had me expecting a little more... Imperial Stout, Cappuccino Stout, Red Ale, Hop Stopped are all amazing. I honestly love Hairy Eyeball as well...

I agree with the lagunitas love. I also thought the cappuccino stout was outstanding.

Sooooo why is this almost twice the price in Mass? I would drink Hop Stopped every day if it were $4.

I haven't tried it yet despite seeing it on shelves everywhere because every time I see it it's at least 3 months old.
