I don't care what it says on the label, I want it! Until it comes back I'll have to "settle" for Rochefort 10 and St. Bernardus abt. 12!

The international standard (literally, ISO 8601) is yyyy-mm-dd, which of course few breweries use. It's mainly prevalent as a date format in casual use in China, Japan, and S Korea.

How do you say "Tear-away labels" in Flemish? They should use the same bottles, but use temp labels that the consumer can just remove to maintain the classic Westy vibe if the buyer so chooses.

What a shame, another great tradition lost in the name of Gov't "progress", ie: control :slight_frown:

Does anyone know what the label will look like. I think Rochefort looks very classy. I HATED the (recent) US bottles. The XII looked terrible.

Something like this would be cool.

Isn't that the label that was used for the US when it was imported here (legally or not)?

Yeah- last seen around 2005-ish, I'd say.

I think these were the labels from the 90s, when it was being brewed at St Bernardus-

A label is not going to change how amazing this brew is.

    The 2 labeled bottles I have show '02 (a '99) and '05 (an '02).
Bought 'em at that place on Bowery back in the day...

I'm sure they could take a similar approach as the 4 packs they sell at the café. Just put the labeling info on the box? Would it be necessary to have it on each bottle if they are not sold individually?

From reading the article it states that only the beer sold in the bottle shops (as in the one's that find their way to a shop) fall under the new regulations. As far as I'm concerned the bottles sold at the abbey or the café aren't required to follow the labeling laws.
