Heads up beer my lovin brothers & sisters, it's not too early to plan for beer week here in Roc. It's just about 3 weeks away. There's some insane beer-centered events check out the links below. Keep an eye on those sites (the events are too numerous to list on the BA calendar).

Also organizers are looking for volunteers for the Beer Expo on Sat 6/16 for Group 2 from 7-10:30. There’s a side menu selection in the link below to volunteer.

Spread the good beer word and get out to one or more of these events if possible.

    Git some!

Looking forward to this week of events.

The Friday launch at Sticky Lips is gonna be sick. We have three great bands (Moho Collective, Subsoil & RootsCollider) and we will be launching the official beer of Rochester Beer Week: The Cobbs Hill Black Lager.

Hope to see a lot of peeps out.

The Tuesday deal at Lovin' Cup is gonna also be a lot of fun. Chris "Hollywood" English gets the best pro players in town (members from AudioInflux, Giant Panda, Filthy Funk, etc...have been known to show) and they put on a great show. We will be doing some sample of Cobbs Hill there too.

We certainly will be out and about all week long and hope to see you out drinking yer faces off.

Thanks for posting the info. The only thing I don't like about the beer week website is that they don't have detailed information on each of the events in clickable links. Tough to determine what events to attend without knowing more about them. Unless I'm missing something  Hopefully that improvement will come in future years. Cheers!

I would suggest going to all the Three Heads events  but I may be biased. I agree about the links but I believe most of the places actually have info on their sites with more details about each event.

I also know there should be a guide coming out soon for the week that will have more details as well. that being said, I know I can pass on this point to the powers that be tomorrow when I go drink some beers with them.

6 packs will be coming but not for a year or so. The plan has been to build the brand first (thus shipping to Boston, Chicago, DC and downstate). After we get enough traction there, we will open our own brewery. That is when it makes more sense to go the 6 pack route. Less hands in the cookie jar and we will be able to bump up our production to a level we could properly support 6 pack demand.

The Cobbs Hill is pretty tasty. It was always one of my fav brews we made back in our full on homebrew days. Easy drinker that still has plenty of flavor. You gonna be at any of the events for Beer Week?

Is it more Schwartzbier or Black IPA? I'm gonna try to make it to the Real Beer expo, a couple of my friends will be pouring, so I hope I can make it into town.

I like your guys business like approach to this. Slow&steady winning the race instead of trying to do everything too fast.

Thanks. It is going to be a Schwartzbier. We have the Skunk, which is a Black IPA.

If you make it in, swing by and say "hey". I am the fat looking Jesus dude.

Can't wait to try the schwartzbier! Such an underbrewed style in the US IMO. I hope to try some at the sticky lips local takeover.

Found the Rochester Real Beer Week event directory pamphlet stuffed in a copy of the CITY newsweekly that I picked up this afternoon. Contains all the detailed information that the website was lacking. Anyone interested in this event should pick up a copy. Well put together!

We are going to be doing Park Ave this year. Sad because BCTC moved back a week and is the same time now. Such is life.

    P.S. We heart FIA

I heard about a special midwest beet that may be on that I have never had on cask before.

    A few other surprises too.

The event is sold out. No tix left. I asked yesterday and there were only a few VIP tix around noon. Think those have sold out.
