What beer are you drinking now? #688

I have made zee error! I have been looking up czech pilsners. This one is called svetly lezak and can be served cloudy and unfiltered with young wort mixed in and therefore my earlier assessment is wrong. I raised my socre up to 3.65. I am going to leave it there as I am now done with the beer and cannot really speak to it any further. I kept researching this because it tasted so damn good. I would like another one of htese and maybe raise the score again. =) Cheers BA!

 

After working four 11 hour days last week, feels good to get back to my 6-2 shift. Drinking one of these before 3. The world seems right again.

 

That is one fine beer.

I always have one of these in my fridge, and several 4 packs under the counter in the basement.

 

there is a reason they do blind tastings, lol but they need to blind fold the drinkers.
wish we got those kinds of weird beers here, we got 5000 IPA's.....well maybe not that many.

by weird I mean stuff the hop heads won't usually touch.

 

I must agree. Sixpoint was kind enough to send me some gratis....and because of that kind gesture I really wanted to like it....but it ended up being a major dissapointment. I had eight cans. I have 4 left. I got 4 and was given 4 about 3 months ago. I had one yesterday at Belmont Racetrack, thinking a change of scenario and hot weather would chang my POV. Nope. Very hard to drink. Just an odd beer. I did have some success in mixing it with berliner weisss beers and Gose beers. Oddly, I enjoyed the first can...but that never returned

 

Turns out that this beer had a fine color and that I was uneducated. This style can be served cloudy unfiltered and with new wort mixed in so that means the color was fine. It also explains the phenomenal taste that this beer had. I would recommend it.

Just got done brewin' a cream ale today. . . OG was 1.055 and it smelled marvelous.. Hallertau Hersbrucker and Saaz Hops ... even the wort sample tasted smooth!

Now drinkin' a Sam Adams Oktoberfest. Still love it after many many many other Marzen Oktoberfests this one still kicks a$$ imo.
