It's pretty important to check the details on the beer you are talking about. I'd be fucking pissed if someone traded me reg narwhal saying it was BA.

I never saw the whale in the first place and this whale sounds bigger and pricey. so 12 to 16 dollar bomber?

I would grab one at that price. I recently pulled out a 1-year old of the reg'ler and loved it.

too rich for me. I MIGHT do 11 maybe 12, but I doubt it. north of 12 NOPE going to do it. of course we have no idea on price, so who knows? its a rare day and SPECIAL day I pay over 10.

bombers are rip offs IMHO, and I love the 750 Belgians but even they have priced themselves out of my reach mostly.

Hard to say what I'd pay, love Narwhal, love BA beers, gotta imagine this is gonna be outstanding. Hope I see it so I can decide how much I'd be willing to fork out.

There aren't (m)any BA imperial stouts that go for less than $12. Dragon's Milk is the only one I've ever seen and it's apparently using 3rd use barrels or something along those lines...hence the very mild barrel character.

Based on my experience with this beer at GABF last year, it's worth whatever SN feels like charging for it.

Yeah... good points... I would only do it once. I recenly went looking for Black Butte until I saw the $20 price tag. I ended up buying four $10-$12 bombers and liking two of them :flushed:

Had this on tap during SF Beer Week earlier this year. Absolutely phenomenal beer. Can't wait for bottles.

6,000 cases!? That's much more than Prabola production, which is typically 3,500. So I bet this will be at bottle shops around the South Bay: Cask n Flask, Santa Clara Liquors, Original Gravity, etc.

You sure about that? When's the last time you checked? You might be missing a few Family Reserve Rye barrels after my visit.:stuck_out_tongue:

I can only assume it was from the new batch. I'm 99% sure.

Sweet Jesus, my prayers have been answered. Price won't be as much of a concern for me as availability may be, if anything like BA Bigfoot (the search for that one was bullshit, and I think I probably made a few enemies in that campaign)
