At Bestway one case limit. No more drives to Charlotte, thank you Roger and Leslie.

A store round these parts also had some this week. What is the cause of the increase of availability??

word on the skreet is that the new centrifuge has allowed them more yield per batch...I havent seen limits around CLT for a couple of weeks now, which is why I bet you find it outside of great Charlotte again. Viva la NdBC, Cheers!

They were able to acquire more Citra hops recently from some other generous breweries. Not sure if this is a long term increase in production or a temporary spike though.

Well I appreciate NoDa 's efforts, and the retailers driving to Charlotte. I'm sure the centrifuge helps production, but other brewers get Citra too, not sure I follow on the acquisition of hops reducing availability. It is a hop blend kinda like HT, so it's far from an all Citra brew like Zombie Dust.

Citra is/was the limiting factor in production. They have plenty of the other varieties used to make more but had to limit production so they wouldn't run out of Citra before the new harvest arrived

Ok that makes sense then, I thought growing of hops was just a rolling operation not a seasonal kinda thing.

I had noticed recently my bottle shop here in QC was getting about double the amount of hop drop than they did previously.

Pretty sure they are kegging less and canning more.

Breweries sign contracts on hop allotments for several years at a time. They had no idea that they would win a gold medal when they signed their last allotment and Citra hops are in high demand with lower supply right now.

I haven't seen it on draft anywhere other than the brewery lately. Granted I don't get out all that often in my current condition.

Yes. HD'nR won a top award and NoDa was swamped with demand and they had to retract distribution and concentrate on the Charlotte market. Retailers go pick beer up at the brewery and people everywhere want this beer. It has recently become a bit more available. HD'nR is a very unique product. Bestway should be out today.

As stated above Citra hops are contracted and allocated but what makes them even more hard to get is that Sierra Nevada gets the majority of the allocation.

Explains why Dust is so hard to get being an All Citra brew.

Love seeing all the Hop Drop around in stores. Especially when these cans are reaching market within 5 days of being canned. Albeit, I'm sure the draft menu's are taking a hit.

Local store in Hickory just got 24 cases in. Glad to see the increased supply!
