Daily update -- we're up to 25 participants -- here they are, listed roughly west to east (just by state), hopefully some of our West coast guys will jump in soon. I think we still have about 10 more possibilities, and I want to give people time to jump in.

Actually, four of the guys I tagged yesterday were from California (and a couple from Wisconsin). I'll message each one individually if I don't hear anything by late next week

We could theoretically put up an NBO post and say we are looking for participants from that part of the country, but so far things have worked pretty well without soliciting that aggressively. I think there was a guy from Alaska in the other BIF, but I don't think they had the other states you mentioned.
Have any of you more active traders made any deals with people from states we don't have yet?

I agree that non-agressive solicitation is key. 25 is NOT a small BIF, and it seems like amongst us we'll quietly recruit a handful more. I'm obviously not opposed to newcomers as I've tagged a half dozen myself, but I really like the group we've got and don't want to water it down with any old passerby.

I have EXACTLY the same problem. You should've seen how easy it was for the NFL Picks BIF to rope me in. You'll fit in well here though, good bunch of dudes.

 

much appreciated, I think you nailed where I'm coming from. trying to figure out what's going on here from an outside perspective is a little much and thought I'd figure it all out once I got involved. definitely didn't imagine I could take without then giving. maybe a LIF isn't the best way to start out. that being said "who are you" did read as "well who the hell are you?". no worries though

 

So now that the ice is broken(if a little jaggedly), new round is starting... time to find out about our squishy centers!

Alright - just finished browsing through the last few pages of this BIF and while i'm not a "newbie" per se - I'm definitely new on this one. So i'll do a brief intro...

I live in the Seattle area and have good access to west coast beers plus some other goodies. Got into trading/BIFs and went from lurker to participant on BA earlier this year after having our first baby boy (<---- that dude), main reason being i'm a ticker and a hunter at heart, but don't travel as much since I became a dad and still want to try different brews that are unavailable here. Love meeting people both on the site as well as for a beer when I do travel - I've met awesome people through BA.

I complied with all rules and sent @Mikexw my resume, pin codes and blood type along with my address
