Should someone throw out an 'invite' to the 'Stout' BIFers?

 

Based on the shirt size distribution I see, we've already got quite a few "stout" BIF'ers

But if any of you are in that one, go for it.

 

Beer has a tendency to create that affliction...

 

Hey @Lehighace06, hadn't checked the thread but fortunately got a message from @Mikexw. Looking forward to round 3.

 

BA needs to fix their logic on alerts. If you go like 2 days without checking a thread, it stops alerting you to new posts in the thread and forces you to go out and check it again. Then you'll start getting alerts again. It's pretty annoying...

 

That must be what happened to me -- except that I don't recall ever going 2 whole days without checking :-) But that's why I tagged everybody earlier in the week, and then once it was a manageable number I messaged everyone.

The way they do it is "@xyz has replied to the thread, there may be posts after this" is the ONLY alert you'll get until you look at the thread again. Once you've done that, you then get an alert the next time a reply is added. The trouble comes in if you miss that alert and are relying on it, then the replies start stacking up without you, but to BA there's nothing "new" about the fact that the thread is unread since the last time they alerted you. I do agree that it's not a perfect system, but that's why I make sure to routinely check the BIF Board itself and see what is 'unread', in case I missed one (and for new ones).

I mean, you don't have to but unless you're counting on some cellar goodies, it's probably in your best interest.

Well, knowing the good stuff that @rspauldi sends, I'd rather have TX goodies go to someone out of state.

Since you're a proven badass you don't have to worry about anyone calling you out when everyone sends you beer and nobody else gets a box.

 

By the way, if anybody really, really, really likes driving their target nuts with hints and does NOT want me as their target for that reason, message me privately. I'll probably start working on targets this weekend; I figure 6 hours of football should give me a good head start.
