Looks like they're still under construction. According to their FB page, they are targeting sometime in November for their grand opening.

The Growler helps a lot with this, though some do fly under the radar there (no, I don't have examples) - at least in the print mag.

We are still hoping for our first brew to occur in late October with a grand opening in November. We are in the thick of the build out currently.

Any chance you're going to have a beer club similar to Bad Weather? I live only a few miles away and plan on visiting frequently.

Maple Island (taproom/microbrewery) in Stillwater opens today*, and is also hiring for taproom staff.

(*Their website says that they opened September 9 -- has anyone been over there for a visit?)

Something called Lazy Loon Lager is now available at Vintage Chanhassen. They say it's brewed in Victoria, MN. The website is quite spartan and there's no Facebook presence so I know virtually nothing about the place or the beer. I'd be surprised if Enki was big enough to handle the additional brewing but I guess you never know. Maybe there actually is 2 breweries in Victoria. I dunno....

Waconia Brewing will get their permits all completed on Thursday so it won't be long now. :-)

From the looks of the website I would guess they are a "beer company". As in a contract brand with no brick and mortar operation. Maybe I'm wrong.

They seem to offer canning services so if I had to make a guess I'd say they bought some canning equipment, contract brewed some beer, and are trying to sell it locally with literally no marketing plan. I'll try to swing by Vintage and get some this weekend. It's local for me so it's worth a try. I have low expectations but you never know.

Best case scenario is they can sell enough of their lager to stay in business and Enki across town starts using their canning services.

I have unrealistically low expectations for a lot of the start-ups, so that places them all in a fair pegging order.

P.S. Drink an extra one for me!

I'll try it when I see it, and Enki in cans would be really cool. I like the cut of their jib.

I have to admit that I am confused at the no minimum order for canning services. That is very novel:
Looks like they have a "Festbier" and a standard ('pale') Lager, so far:

    Greetings all,

I'm new to this discussion, but had also developed my own list of Twin Cities Breweries. It's not as complete as what's been discussed here, but I do intend to keep it up to date (more or less). For the most part I'm only going to include places that are opening soon. Also, it's Twin Cities area only and the line is very arbitrary.

Regardless, here's the map - links included to each brewery so you can check my work before you go:

Incidentally, I've not seen mention of Northgate moving to their new location (783 Harding St NE). Their grand opening there is 10/10. http://www.northgatebrew.com/ It's very near me (though not quite as close as Insight) so I look forward to it. I've yet to try their beer, though, and not everyone I've talked to has been impressed.

Interestingly, Northgate is in the same building as Wander North Distillery. Wander North's "Cocktail Room" is slated to open Nov 2014. http://wandernorthdistillery.com

Yep. Going to get the Festbier if they still have some. ;-)

    Nice map!

Although it makes me vaguely nauseous each time I see a visual like this. Hey! There are people in the south metro, y'know! Good lord, it's like a brewpub black hole down here.

Seriously, I'd love to see something down in Bloomington or Eden Prairie. I'm just glad that the Prairie Tap House opened, so now there's at least a decent tap beer selection near by without having to head up to 50th and France.
