if it's something good it can still be good flat and room temp. I had about half a bottle of IRS by stone for a night cap. Intentionally let it sit over night to try in the morning and it was still tasty.

Alcohol is a drug. There is not another statement in your posts that has any basis in facts.

Lots of great seasonal stuff there. The Bavarian IPA (Hopfen?) is also really solid.

I never cared much for Schlafly, but I've got a brother who lives over in St. Louis. We went over there to tour the brewery. I had great beer all day. I probably tried a sip from at least 9 pints. Funny how getting if fresh at the brewery can be so different than out of a bottle.

There's something about Black Butte 22, and now Butte 26, that make me want to fall asleep after half a glass. This is a trait unique to these two beers. Never could figure that one out.

I usually blow a couple lines before I head out to drink so I never have this problem.

For most beers it's number 8 or 9 that make me sleepy. For Samichlaus it's number 4 or 5.

If I am already even remotely tired and at home and sitting down and relaxing, beer will completely knock me out. Do hoppier beers effect me worse? Come to think of it, quite possibly.

Here's an interesting thing that happened to me. I drank a Yuengling's black and tan and later that night my entire body was fatigued. That feeling that you get after you work out and your muscles feel sore. I guess that's what cheap beer does to you. I don't drink cheap beer often any more!
