I guess they have a brewery up and running in Victoria. They kept that under the radar. Picked up a 6-pack of the lager. The cans have the label "sleeves" like Great River uses, just less graphic with little info. If people pick-up a 6-pack, be careful. I picked one up and all but one can hit the floor. The people at the store said that was not the first time it had happen today. Not off to the best start. They use the old plastic ring type of holder that is very cheap.

An all-malt lager that is on the very sweet side, possibly under-attenuated. Not to my tastes but I am curious enough to try the other offering out now.

Well, there are those plans for Shakopee, Jordan, Blakely, Eagan, Burnsville, and Rosemount... maybe ten or more plans before I have to start adding more fingers or counting on my toes. If this Craft Beer revolution keeps up, the South Metro ought to have at least one or two before too long.

Does anyone know if Pyres ditched their plans to open a brewery in uptown when they joined the alternating proprietorship thing at Lucid?

Since 612 Brew has been open for a while they don't affect the plans being discussed within the time frame specified in the O.P., but this is worth noting. Brother @woodychandler will be psyched more CANS!

( P.S. LOL at "Gateway Park Larger." :grinning: )

They're so lazy that it took 'em until after they had their cans on the shelf to join the Spacebook? Now there's an ethic I can get behind! :grinning:

I had a chance to meet the owner of Badger Hill at Town Hall when I stopped for lunch. He said equipment is getting installed now and the tap room and brewery should all be finished by mid November. He also said Lucid and Bad Weather will more than likely continue to work together.

I asked about Pryes and he said he's never even met them, so I guess they are not part of that? He didn't know their plans.

It's my understanding that Pryes hit a regulatory snag when it came to the Uptown location. If memory serves they were too close to a school and the local City Council Rep, Meg Tuthill, was less than helpful. So, they gave up on that location and eventually chose the alternating proprietorship. Assuming they do well I'm sure they plan to build their own brewery eventually, but I doubt it will be in Uptown.

I just noticed that "The Brew Loft" (Cannon Falls) Facebook page has a recent (month ago) entry. Apparently they're still moving forward... Slowly, perhaps, but they're moving.

I pinged Roets in Jordan and U4ic in Belle Plain for updates. I got nothing from Roets but I got this from U4ic. Looking forward to both!

Was in Grand Marais recently. The Gun Flint Tavern brewery looks ready to go. Our waitress said that they just need to work through government red tape. Voyageur Brewery is still early in construction.
