Alright, home a little earlier than usual, and watching this game now! More new beer for me tonight!

Sounds amazing! I need some Bee in my life at some point

Off to Charleston in the AM. Wife was confused when I packed the bubble wrap and a duffle bag inside my bag.... Beer trader problems!

Belgian Red is very good but quite hyped. Raspeberry is better, at least, for me. Serendipity, especially on tap, beats them all though.

Never had any of them on tap, that'd be interesting. What're your thoughts on Strawberry Rhubarb? I don't want to say I liked it least of the 4, but I didn't have it until I had had the others at least months earlier, so I'm not sure I can give a fair comparison.

I've never had Strawberry Rhubarb, but Serendipity is my favorite of the three I've had.

I have an extra bottle, if you want to work something out.
NG on tap is so good. It really brings fruit in each of their fruit beer forward. For the Strawberry Rhubarb, I am a little biased because I love rhubarb and, since having Zwanze 2012 over the summer, anything having rhubarb in it is a winner. Having said that, Strawberry Rhubarb tastes like delicious beer jam to me, if that makes any sense.

Interestingly enough, it does. I like using "jammy" as a descriptor for BCBS Backyard Rye, and for what I experienced when using a french press to infuse raspberries/blackberries into a regular BCBS.

Backyard tastes like amazing chocolate with berries to me. always wanted to try to infuse a stout with berries/fruit. How did it come out?

Assuming you've had it on draft to compare (or I suppose even if not, but please mention whether you have), how is Yellow Rose out of a bottle?

Been enjoying my vaca to my target's state. Best thing is visiting breweries and finding beers that are not in my distribution. Here is what I picked up this afternoon (sorry for crappy pic, but my good camera is at home). Two nights left so I got some drinking to do.

I've done it twice, the first time fantastically. 20oz french press, filled 2/3 the way up with muddled fresh raspberries/blackberries. Mixed in (not just floated on top) about 4-5oz of BCBS, let sit on the counter for 45 minutes. Pressed it (made a mess, it's hard to extract the beer from all the pulp) and added the other 7-8oz. Was incredible.

The second time was as a nightcap at the recent @PA-Michigander bottle share, frozen strawberries/raspberries were used, a bigger mess was made, and less care was taken in the pressing, so it wound up being a bit chunky. Also, the water content of the frozen fruit diluted the beer a touch, and there was a lot less fruit flavor compared to fresh produce. Lastly, I'm not as big a fan of using strawberries as blackberries (with raspberries either way); the blackberries added a bit of tartness that countered the sweetness of the BCBS, whereas strawberries accentuated it.

I personally enjoyed it more out of the bottle. It's crazy how similar it is to me to the Vermont IPAs.

Oh god, I so need to take a break from trading, but it's just so hard not to! I'd love to try some Kentucky stuff though as well. I think I remember you being interested in Pirate Bomb. Would you still be interested in one of those?

We just received a shipment of Pirate Bombs here and got a few, so, I am good on those. If you prefer to wait, we can do this a little later as well and I will be happy to put together a nice KY box to send your way.
