Second box going out today. This one could get to the destination faster than the 11:15 of drive time listed above, if I could drive it there in a Corvette.

I noticed this last night and thought "uh oh, what did he post", and "darn, I missed it"

 

It was a meme of Jim Carey saying, "Killer Boots Man" in response to @Seanhand_atl picture with boots in the background. They said it wasn't beer related... I expect this post to be removed too as it fits the same general criteria.

 

I'm fairly certain images are stored on the BA server (okay, really they aren't, they're stored on the BA CDN, which is akamai, but I'm sure BA gets charged for the bandwidth, so the same argument holds), so I can kind of see why they're much stricter with images since they take up a lot more bandwidth than text.

 

Yeah, I get it. And I posted the picture directly instead of embedding a link. But it's just so much easier that way...

 

I'm not nearly knowledgeable enough to know the answer to this, but isn't one of the points of only allowing images directly from the web that it be already hosted somewhere else and simply embedded into the post? (I know another big reason is the copyright issue, but there's copyrighted imagery all over the internet, not just on my pc, so I'm not sure I get that one either, really) Just trying to understand how stuff works so I can keep out of trouble.

 

I think it still uploads to the BA servers though. Next time you insert a picture, watch what it does. I'm pretty sure there's a step in there that says 'Uploading' or something like that. I'm fairly certain that it isn't just loading from the third party site (which has its own issues as well as many websites don't like hotlinking, which is loading pictures from their server directly which results in no ad money being generated for them but costing them bandwidth, or image-replacement, where someone takes an image being hot-linked and replaces it with another image that probably doesn't match what the original person intended).

 

Naw your good, if stuff gets reported i fix it, off topic pis,gif,etc, will be deleted if reported. I thought it was a funny pic tho if it matters.

 

I had you as my prime suspect so, unless, there is a weird twist to this clue, I am getting quite excited!

Also, I am being slow with this but I have most of what I need for my target. I only need to get his treats and will be sent. I may send by the end of the week or early next week.

 

^^^ Ditto this for me... except I'm still having trouble coming up with a good "treat"... may have to double up the swag to make up for it... hope that's cool...

 

That is the only thing that matters appreciate the heads up.

 

Oh OK -- it was because it was a picture -- I believe the official rule is that only beer-related pictures can be posted. The same thing happened to me when I posted a side-by-side photo of a football coach from a senders state and the governor of a targets state. My problem was that I had no idea what post had been deleted, because it was one of those ridiculous weeks with tons of posts.

 

My treat isn't anything special but it is named after the city in which is my mailing address.
Also the swag I sent I saw somewhere else after I already purchased it. The swag is in the second box. But it does go with something in the first box.
