    On the laptop downstairs while I watch football, so I can't fully partake in BA festivities this afternoon. This post is mostly cross-posted over on New Beer Sunday; come join us if you're having something new (to you!), and you'd like to share a few words about what makes it good (or bad) in your view.

    It's been a warm Fall weekend here in CT. We've taken advantage to go on some hikes. When you hike, you burn calories. When you burn calories, you need to replace those calories. When you need to replace calories, you end up eating a burger topped with fried egg, cheddar cheese, bacon, and with a doughnut for a bun. And wash it down with a DogfishHead 90 minute.

    I've been wanting to try a doughnut burger. Now that I can say I've done it, I will probably never do it again. :wink:

    Thankfully, my impending heart attack has decided to wait long enough to allow me to enjoy my first new beer of the day: Nectar Ales/Humboldt Brewing Black Xantus.

    Man, Gronk is having his way with the Chicago defense. The Lions blew me away with that comeback at the end of the 4th quarter (actually, throughout the entire 2nd half). Geno Smith with three 1st quarter interceptions. Some great football being played today (unless you're a Jets fan).
