Finally made my way through all these posts. That's what I get for not checking in over the weekend. Looking forward to putting this box together. Should be able to hit quite a few things on my target's wish list, but will have to set up a couple trades for some wants as well.

I'm down to 23 potential senders, assuming that @bevoduz didn't forget that the UP of Michigan borders Wisconsin...

 

Pretty much done my shopping, one package is on the way with 2 final beers for my 12 days of Christmas, all over 91 rating with 4 100's, the only terrible beer will be an IPA growler that people wait in line for hours to get but yet only rated a high 80's BA. People must be dumb in this part of the state to wait in line for such terrible beer…...

 

Is this for The Locals or some other BIF? You know it's still October, right?

 

Hint 2 : My target's state has bodies of water.

 

I think @jawas "wins"(?) the Premature shipper award -- I think he was the first one in the Locals last round, too.

 

Hint #1: Shipping Northwardish, but not directly north.
Hint #2: “Official Red Ryder Carbine-Action Two-Hundred-Shot Range Model Air Rifle”. This was Ralphie’s Christmas wish. I am not shipping to the state where the first original Red Ryder BB guns were manufactured.

 

Just done with rounding up the beer, except for the IPAs those won't be purchased until closer to the ship date. Still have to figure out some form of holiday treat but again, that will be closer to shipping. The time consuming part will be wrapping up everything, and figuring out how some beers will be in a present form.

I won't ship anything till Monday Dec 1st.

 

Oh that's good, if I was your target not only would it drive me nuts but my wife would kill me for having a box of beer just sitting around with wrapping paper on it... Since there's a "do not open until" date, I think early shipping is not nearly the good thing it often is.

 

Im not sure how 12 bottles wrapped up will be appreciated by my wife.

 

Then maybe you shouldn't have gone shopping so far ahead

 

That brings up a question -- do we refrigerate our daily gifts each morning without unwrapping them? I can't imagine filling the fridge with gift wrapped beers.

 

No Im talking about when I receive my box. 12 wrapped bottles under or near her tree, or anywhere in the house for that matter.

Honestly, I have 6/7 of my targets wants in my cellar. Traded for 2 more, on their way now. Purchase the IPAs later, swag already taken care of.

 

I was thinking about this and I think what I am going to do is put it in the fridge the night before I open it. I'm afraid the wrapping paper would get a little soggy if it was in there for a long time.

 

Yeah I was curious about this as well, I might wrap some, but I was gonna use gift boxes and ribbon, and bags for a few as well... It would look like christmas in his fridge if he put them all in there, and there will be some he would want to refridgerate for a while and some he might only want in there for a few hours so its not super chilled.
I know I plan on including the beers that need to be refrigerated, or drank earlier then later in the first few days. I guess one could leave notes or tips on the beers for that day.
