Are you close to Funky Buddha Matt? I only ask because I've got an empty growler of theirs that I can't use here (flip top). If you can use it let me know and I'll send it with the Pirate.

 

Even though you can't use it at Pizza Boy, there's gotta be a decent bar that can fill it before you send it out, right? No sense sending a growler without anything in it

I've tried and most places around here won't fill flip tops. I guess I should check some of the seedier places but I think the best they would do is Dirt Wolf and while I really like that beer Matt can get it locally I am pretty sure. He won't be disappointed that's for sure!

 

Very odd... most bars around me, seedy or not, will fill any damn growler you bring them. The one place with the wider taps like at Pizza Boy even filled a narrow flip top for me by way of pitcher, and that was after spending almost 10 minutes looking around the bar and in the back for a narrow hose. (It was actually the Iron Hill filled growler, I think I left that one with you, but not sure; I had a lot of growlers that day)

 

I should tick 4 or 5 wants with my box, but I like how I've got it planned out so I'm not really trying for more than that (sorry not sorry)

 

This actually makes a lot of sense. If my target wants beer A, and I am trading beer B for it, why not just send beer B and let my target experience something that is probably as desirable as his want, even though he just might not realize it.

I think that sort of makes sense.

Of course if you are trading with someone anyway and can easily acquire some wants then sure, go for it.

 

I think it definitely makes sense, if nothing else it keeps your cost basis down by not adding additional shipping/packaging costs (monetary and the cost of the risk of loss). This is why I rarely trade away things I received in boxes, it just doesn't make sense to me to ship something twice when there's plenty on shelves that no one had to pay for FedEx to get to me.

Heading to Asheville, NC on my honeymoon tomorrow. My target is very likely to get some Wicked Weed.

 

Hint #1: Shipping west.
Hint #2: My targets avatar is not a picture of themselves.
Hint #3: The number of likes my target has received is greater than his posts.

I'm guessing he has done some posting of hauls in the past, or he must say some really clever things.

I do plan on going to a fairly big release that fits my targets favorite styles so I should be able to give him a very well rated and a great beer he didn't even know he wanted.
