While going through hints I came across this; personally I assume if someone has food allergies they proactively tell OP when sending over info, right? (I make this assumption not out of responsibility-shifting, but because my son has allergies, and I know I'm proactive as hell)

If you have allergies but did not do so, please let OP know so he can tell your sender, be it peanut butter stout, or macadamia nut cookies, it'd kill me to hear that something I sent in a box got someone sick, let alone from a serious allergic reaction.

 

Posts made in the trading forums (including BIFs) don't count toward your post count, but Likes do, so if you are really active on the BIF side but not as much elsewhere on the site, this is not very surprising.

 

I was just thinking about this last night, and I was actually going to do the same thing.

For example - in going through my cellar, one of the beers I was going to include has a clear bottled on date of 6/25/13. That to me screams that it should be a XMas day bottle, especially considering it's a two or three hour sipper. Well rated, brew, but need to explain why I chose that date as it's not the "best" beer in the box.

 

Yeah a couple of mine have a theme that should be explained or some special need.

 

Yep, see a certain progression... "share with friends" "palate refresher" "get you busted up today" - etc...

Are we expecting each bottle to be consumed on the day it is opened? Cause with 2 of the wants/christmas list beers, if those are consumed by 1 person in two days back to back, he may need some help.
