Agree with almost all of this. Love Joe Maddon, he's fantastic, just not at BB level yet. Does more with less, but his stock has leveled off a bit the last few seasons with their results, especially with the Yankees and Red Sox down this past year.

I didn't bring up the Dodgers. I try not to, ever. However, given their payroll, expectations, etc. the Giants are indeed underdogs. They are never given any love in preseason predictions from the "experts". Makes their success even sweeter.

OK, now back to beer. Hoping to score some Coffee variant this year. Only managed Barleywine last year.

    Cheers!

Are they doing backyard rye again? Coffee variant was pretty fantastic last year.

Got it, thanks! Doesn't this sound like a terrible idea releasing it like this? I mean, the "Soto" location has no parking and the shop itself is tiny...guaranteed shit show?

The way I was understanding it was that these would be draft only events. I'm sure the bottles will start hitting stores shortly thereafter. Sorry if I misunderstood your post.

GI's website lists Backyard as not available. Coffee for sure, but not BY.

No worries. That's what's unclear to me is if bottles are showing up everywhere as usual, albeit in limited quantity, or only the special "events" on the GI facebook page. OR are these events just for tastings of variants?

Also, the Soto location I was referring to was Ramirez.

I've heard a lot of people say Matheny mismanaged the bullpen, but the way I see it the bullpen blew it (several times, in fact) for them. What difference does it make who you bring in when if they all get hit and hit hard ? You can't expect a complete game out of your starters every time.

I am pretty sure it's everywhere, but these locations are the official spots so to speak. All I know is that I was able to buy regular BCBS at BevMo pretty easily last year.

Im guesstimating there will be release party events in LA that will have more volume/variants, but expect that other locations will also have at least regular that same day. With how much was floating around last year I don't see them just stacking it all at one or two locations.

No, the reason why LA has so much traffic is because of urban sprawl. People live far away from their place of work, and that distance creates traffic.

Plus, we have lots of Prius drivers. Road boulders.

Obviously that is part of it, but I was trying to make a point that its sprawl, while off-putting for some, is part of its crazy appeal for others, including myself. There are fun and interesting things to do all over the city, and there are wonderfully rich neighborhoods in every direction. Obviously there are logistical reasons for the traffic, but I was trying to illustrate a larger point.

This whole state is going to be dry in 25 years so...get out while you can.

On a more positive note, does anyone know allocations/allowances of what you can purchase at the Black Friday events?
