A friend, who live in Ft Collins, is visiting us here in NJ. What's the best canned beer made and/or available in Colorado? Cans being much easier to pack in his suitcase. Preference to IPA/DIPA/APA bews . . . . thanks.

I would personally only stick with Ten Fidy, but Modus Hoperandi is good as well.

Hey guys, Oskar Blues isn't the only brewery in CO that cans their beers, not to mention he's asking for hoppy beers...

OP, Renegade Redacted IPA is great
Crank Yanker by Eddyline was good, I thought, though doesn't look like it gets rave reviews
Black Shirt Brewing puts out some interesting stuff (all red beers, no matter what style)
Also, of course, Avery IPA and OB Dale's Pale Ale and Deviant Dale's
Ska Modus Hoperandi is one of my favorites

There are others, just can't think of them off the top of my head.
This should be moved to the Mountain forum.

Yeah, NJ in general has great distro.

Might I suggest something from Dry Dock?

Being a relative nubian how does one move a thread to another forum?

Do they get Tallgrass in Colorado. If so tell him to load up on Ethos, 8 Bit, Buffalo Sweat and Zombie Monkey

Well OP, you asked for the best canned beer in Co and you got your answer!!!!

Check out seek a brew and see what distributes in CO that does not distribute in NJ and work backwards from there.

I would agree with Oskar Blues (Dale's Pale Ale, Deviant Dales) and Ska (Modus) both for hoppy beers and the Ten Fidy. Another if you see it would be Epic Brewing which has some good APAs/IPAs in cans

I would second the Renegade IPA, Modus Hoperandi, Telluride Brown recommendations. If your pal is in Denver, I think La Cumbre's Elevated IPA is now distributed up there.

Forgot about Bridal Veil. Great beer, one of my favorites (in a can or otherwise).

Nice Suggestion. Hop Abomination, from Dry Dock, is far too often Overlooked. At nearly a $1.00 less per 6 pack, than Modus, in my store, I would definitely put it up there with Modus.
As far as Carteravebrew stating that there are more/other breweries in CO that Can their Beer, Besides Oskar Blues, TRUE, but they were the First & Still the Most Recognizable Outside of Colorado. Being in the Business, I see all the new offerings daily and Still think of OB First, when asked about Best Canned Beer Offerings from Colorado. I Guess there is something to be said about being First. Other Suggestions like, Eddyline's Crank Yanker & Elevation's IPA are both Solid examples as well.
