Going with a nostalgic beer this evening. One of the first IPAs I had a few years back. I probably prefer their Rampant IPA, but sometimes this one just hits the (sentimental) spot...

Taking one or two of these for my flu / Ebola-like symptoms.
I'm hoping the molasses will help.

So here's the thing, I couldn't comment on that thread cause I've only had Backwoods Bastard. The OP there clearly wanted an opinion from BA's who have sampled both. All I can say is I'd love to try Wulver, cause I really like the Bastard (understatement).

Even better is the barrel aged version: Insanity.

Foothills Jade IPA, draft. My first beer with Pacific Jade hops, this one also has citra and chinook. Light, tightly carbonated body with a pleasant dryness works perfectly with a fascinating hop flavor wheel of mango, lemon pepper, orange and perhaps...kiwi? Lingering pleasant bitterness suggests black pepper soaked in a Chinook tea.

Who is this Foothills brewery and why the hell haven't I heard of them before? :open_mouth:. This is the best IPA I've had all year.

Call me crazy, had that one last night (and thanks again!) along with a Backwoods and I preferred the Wulver.

P.S. - box will be coming soon. !!!

I pretty much like barrel aged, if I see it I will try it (if you build it). Thanks for the heads up.

Oh, I think your crazy, but not because of that...

Speaking of, I was wondering what happened to all of my Wulvers. I was happy to find 3 good beers that you hadn't consumed. To impress such a BA legend such as yourself was icing on the cake!
