Now why didn't I think of that .... We just grabbed an uber to Union Station and got the train. The decision whether to wake my buddies from their drunken slumber at our stop or let them ride all the way to Fox Lake was a fun one, though.

 

Alright gents, I have an offer/request. Tired Hands is offering Believer's Club memberships, and I'm looking for someone to pick up the last quarter-share. The investment is $250, for which you get a quarter of the $1000 gift card including the 20% discount that comes with it (so you actually get more than your investment back); a piece of swag (tote bag or teku glass), and a quarter share of the bottle purchase options. So far the membership is being shared by myself, a non-BA coworker/friend of mine, and @zekeman17.

I'm not 100% set on logistics of how we would go about sharing the gift card or determining who gets which options, but if you're not local, it makes sense that your money would be spent on growlers/bottles that I'd be picking up for you, and I assume we'll handle releases with <4 bottle allotment like a fantasy football waiver wire.

My financed dictate that I am passing on this for now. Maybe next year, although I'm not a huge TH fan, so probably would pursue other memberships (Rare Barrel, for instance, I think I prefer slightly).

 

Damn, wish I could. But if you saw my last couple of days, I have about $250 in future shipping charges coming my way for paybacks...I really wanna do this, though. (Spoiler: I'm not doing it)

i was just about the comment on this. this beer is pretty awesome. much different than most ba stouts (i think this one 50% in a barrel?).

 

That one is pretty pricy at the only bottle shop I consistently see it at (maybe that's why) ... somewhere in the mid-$20's, worth it?
