I saw a case of TenFidy that was canned in 10/12 for sale at a local distributor. The price was ~$74. I might be able to talk them into a discount. Light isn't an issue with the cans, but I have no idea about temps it was kept at. Is it worth it and should I go back and get it?

 

Never took a break after GABF, was getting close to my highest weight again. Like to take 2-3 weeks off here and there to get a jump start on a "diet" have a couple rested weekends. Essentially just losing what I will gain from the holidays. Ordered a part for my elliptical so hope I can get addicted to that again like beer.

 

Holy crap that was a long weekend. I spent almost every waking minute working on quarterly grades (actually… we don't have grades.. they were written narratives). And all the while, no beer due to illness. But screw it, I'm done now. Just cracked the Prairie Standard that's suddenly available down the street.

I don't think so. Ten Fidy is good and ages well , but personally, I wouldn't need a case of it ever.

 

Unless you have reason to believe it was mistreated, I'd buy it. Hell, if you decide against it, I WILL buy it, just bring it with you to BS2.0 if we don't see each other sooner.

This is true also, but 2-year-aged cans would make nice extras in a lot of boxes

 

Ya know, growing up and even into adulthood, I always thought teachers had it incredibly easy hours-wise (not job description-wise, I know what I was like and I wasn't by any stretch the worst) .... off at 3pm, 3 months vacation every year... they've got the life! Then I realized that they have to get to school, not 'be awake', be AT WORK at 6 am, and they spend half their evenings/weekends grading shit! More power to you, I'll take my 9-5.

 

I love TenFidy. A shelf turd that doesn't get its due IMHO. It's just so darn good for its availability and cost. I just don't know what age will due to it.

 

Yep, it's a crazy amount of work for the money. But I get to hang out with kids all day, which keeps me young. And in my job I am lucky enough to teach classes that dovetail with my interests: video production, creative writing, computer lit. Some extra curricular uke time on occasion. Ain't bad.

 

My only worry would be non beer related: what happens to the can's lining with age? Is it safe? At your age, you should be concerned about Alzheimer's triggers.

It's because of price I think. Thought the same thing myself a couple days ago. I had one over Halloween weekend. Tasting soooo good right now. One of the best blueberry sours I've had.

Yeah, a lot of work for the money but it's great. I teach k-3 general music and middle school choir and love working with kids. Can't imagine working another job.
