    I mean.... now and then.

True story, and he's not a teetotaler, but a craft bar is not really his scene.

Once they expanded to the higher levels of badges I jumped from around that up to 279....

Oh I meant I got 105 from this single checkin. I'm at 382 now and I'll probably be at 422 when I checkin my next beer.

Rubber bands also work and are great for reuse. Tape is the worst for the whole reuse/recycle bit. But that cling wrap was done like a pro!

10 used to be the highest, now 50 is.

My buddy got 120 badges on 1 check in, yesterday. Went from 10 to 50 on USA, IPA, and photos

Hahaha, I can't wait to check into a beer tonight. I haven't had a beer in 48 hours, which is a bit unusual for me, so haven't even noticed the change yet.

Related to frequency of drinking, I was in a business meeting a couple weeks ago and in this particular standing meeting there's usually a bullshit topic at the end of the meeting. At this particular meeting the organizer had a topic of "What new taproom has Mike been to lately?". We were wrapping up the meeting and someone asked about taprooms and the exchange went:

Group: What's the latest awesome taproom you've been to:
Me: Man, its tough to say, I haven't been to a taproom in a little while
Group: That's weird for you, when were you at a taproom last?
    Me: Friday.
Group: It's... only Wednesday, so like 5 days ago?
    Me: Yeah.
    Group: ....

They had no concept that not going to a taproom in 5 whole days was quite a while for me since I like to explore

Oh, multiple categories... I understood how you get 40 at a time, but not 120.

This is pretty awesome.... and goes for me too if you include places like Whole Foods (who have beer on tap), though I do more drinking at home than anywhere. You will probably appreciate this accomplishment more than most: As of this coming Sunday I will have had at least 1 beer, every day, for a year.

I find myself going to bars less and less. I have so much great beer available to me via beer stores, local breweries and trading that I find it easier and cheaper to stay home and have couple. You travel a lot so I understand your situation, but for me it just makes sense sit on my couch and open a few bottles.

Curious to know what other peoples' venue choices are. I'd say I'm 85% home/friends place, 15% bars.

    I'm probably 80% my place/buddies place, 18% Pizza Boy and 2% elsewhere.

currently I'd say I'm about 90/10 home/bar. but that's just because the selection at my house beats any bar in town. and I don't have to drive there.

I am also about 90-10. Maybe even 95-5. I rarely go to bars anymore. If I'm not at home or a friends house I'm usually at a brewery.

Yeah I said "shrink wrap" but meant "cling wrap". I used to do ziploc bags, followed by bubble wrap in either a rubber band or a tiny bit of tape. The cling wrap takes a tiny bit longer, but I think holds the bubble wrap in place much better, and I'm willing to bet it works out cheaper than the baggies in the long run.

I also usually do garbage bags around the whole mess but forgot on my last shipment, it's never been necessary so hopefully it still isn't.

I wasn't paying attention yesterday, but my Fiddlehead Mastermind must have gotten me 74 badges yesterday -- I jumped to level 44 in one category and level 50 in another, I assume I was at 10 in each before that.

    I'm probably 85% home/friends, 15% taprooms/brewpubs/bars, with MAYBE 2% at bars that aren't specifically craft beer bars.
