    I find this fascinating... https://label.tabc.state.tx.us

I'm really excited because, rolling in this month in label approvals so far has been a TON of beers from Shipyard Brewing (my favorite favorite brew to drink when I visit my family in New England) being approved this month. I see my two favorites in there: Shipyard XXXX IPA & Smashed Pumpkin amongst a dozen or so more.

There's also some interesting Dogfish beer that has been approved this year that hasn't come out yet... that has NEVER been released in Texas. Not sure if it's even viable with their supply constraints. Also... Fort and Pangea are in there (both of which, I adore), but as far as I've heard, they are discontinued.

    SAH'TEA
    MY ANTONIA
    PANGEA
    NOBLE ROT
    BITCHES BREW
    TAH'HENKET
    OLD SCHOOL BARLEY WINE

Someone please tell me I'm not the only crazy one who follows this stuff. If you go to the site you can see the labels that have been approved and the sizes. The above are all bottles, but there are kegs in there as well.

Also, Stone Ruination Anniversary was approved late last week. Horay!

Bitches Brew was here in kegs. Would be nice to see some bottles for sure.

Yeah. It was approved for kegs last year. I had it a few times since then 'round town. Great stuff... I'd count it among their best. It was approved for 750ml bottles in January of this year as well.

Lutter, you will be happy to know that Shipyard will be here soon. We (Favorite Brands LLC) met with their people last week to finalize our initial order. Unfortunalty, at this point it is now just a waiting game of when the beer going to be avail for pickup and shipping. But rest assured we will be pushing it out to market the day it hits our docks!

Which TX markets will they be available in? I've never had anything from Shipyard but I have heard good things about their pumpkin beer.

Excited about the Sixpoint. Goose Island still confusing. There are label approvals going back to '09. Yet the only thing from Goose Island we have ever gotten has been the sodas here recently. Label approval here ain't cheap. Confused why they would get approval way back when if they weren't distributing here. Supposedly they will be here by years end.

i'm surprised you all are excited about shipyard stuff. I have never had anything that was great by them. pretty average craft beer if you ask me.

It's Anuheiser-Busch... I'm pretty sure they give the TABC a secret handshake and they can get all the free approvals they want.

Thank you, we are doing what we can. Please feel free to let me know which stores these are that are saying they have not seen us in weeks and we will get them covered, as we grow there will be bumps in the road but I know we will do our best to smooth it all out.
We will have shipyard for the state (from what I have been told) so you will see it first in the DFW, Houston markets first and then expansion from there.
With concern with shipyard being average, you know what maybe they are but I would gladly argue that 80-90% of the craft beer that is consumed on a daily basis is average. Remember average is not a bad thing, it is what drives the industry. I have had two styles from shipyard so far, the chamberlin pale and the black fin stout. The CP is a good pale but the BF stout I thought was wicked good.

probably not, hops and grain only does cans in austin, and anything besides their two mainstays is draft only.

I agree with Crusian...This would be Shipyard's 3rd attempt in Texas. The only beer of theirs that did well was their Pumpkinhead. We couldn't give the others away. But, in all fairness, we have not got their Imperial Series(XXX) 22oz bottles before. With the growth of craft beer in Texas, especially from local brewers, average doesn't cut it any more.

The barley wine is one of their Greenhouse beers which they brew on a three barrel system so availability is going to be very limited indeed. It's being aged in both bourbon and wine barrels and I hear should be out in the next month or two.
