    Is this brewpub open?

If yes, when were you there and how were their beers?

There's *no* information on their website so I'm suspicious of the reports that they have opened.

    Thanks, Roger

If no one has replied by then, we'll be over next week for Country Jam and I'll get back to ya.

I just found this one: http://www.buzztown.com/business-review/14941/BusinessReview.html. It may very well be open.

And upon further review, looks like two people have reviewed it. I'll have to call to make sure; I'll definitely stop in next week if they're open.

EDIT: Just called over there and they are indeed open. Sun-Thur 11a-10p, Fri and Sat 11a-11p (if there's enough people there according to the person who answered the phone). We'll definitely stop in.

It's not exactly much in the way of "proof" but I saw some people wearing Suds Brothers shirts a few weeks ago at the Copper Kettle.

Yes, it's open and the beer is ok. Nothing mind blowing but it's worth a stop if your passing through Evanston.

I'm going to try to check them out on our way to Mack and Country Jam this next week. Be passing through Fruita Thursday, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday so hoping to sample something from them.....

Here's to hoping something will stick in Fruita. Love that town.

On a semi-related note - is the Palisade Brewing CO. still up and running? I was there a few years ago, right after they re-opened under the newer name. The old Palisade Brewery stuff was great, but the newer stuff was "meh" at best. At that time is seemed like the distillery across the street was (justifiably) getting a lot more attention.

They are open; I called a couple weeks ago to get their hours as we may stop on the way to Country Jam. I haven't been there since the new owners took over. The "old" brewery did a one off a few years ago (Picadelly Peach) which was quite delicious. My better half loved it, but of course, no longer brewed. That's what usually happens when she finds something she REALLY likes (Widmer Snowplow, Avery Platypus, and a couple others).

Want to try to hit Suds Brothers in Fruita (did manage to visit Fruita Brewing Company, then Boneyard Brewing there in the past...). Bonfire in Eagle would be nice but they won't be open yet when we come home Monday.

Took the family out to palisade / grand junction last weekend. Palisade is up and running. Great little place. Met the head brewer, Danny and talked with him for a long time. Really nice guy with some good ideas. Tried the Love Potion #2, which was the Belgian Farmhouse he brewed for their second anniversary. Also had the Hopsession IPA. IPA was good, Farmhouse was really good.

I traded him some bombers and a growler and we chatted over lunch. Didn't get a chance to try the rest of the lineup, (had already been to a few wineries and still wanted to check out the distillery), but I liked the beers I ordered.

Peach Street Distillery, across the street is solid. I'm not much of a hard liquor drinker, but I really enjoyed their stuff. Picked up a bottle of their Bourbon.

Will post a blog with pics and more details about the trip later tonight. http://brewtallyinsane.com

Cool, glad they're still up and running and making good stuff. There's a learning curve to opening a brewery, and I think that was compounded by how good the old Palisade Brewery stuff actually was.
I really enjoyed Peach Street's stuff, and I imagine that area down there must be really fun weekend nights. Combined with all of the vineyards (& the meadery) I don't think I'd want to be driving around over there at night!
