Heard multiple stores say 12oz only no variants. Distributor is telling them to price $9 per bottle.

FWIW, I know of a store that sold it for $6 ea.
Just saying...it'll depend on distributor/store margins

MNBeer I have had 2014 and Double Black is probably a better beer.

$8.99 a bottle seems pretty exorbitant. Should be $5.99-$6.99 range. The price did go up but not that much!

I actually had regular '14 BCBS last night and really thought it was missing something. And maybe a little thinner. You have the same experience?

I definitely agree. I think it is thinner and it is missing something for sure. We dug out a bottle of 2012 BCBS and it blew 14 away. That was three people's opinion last night.

MN got no Backyard last year and very little Coffee or Barleywine. Wouldn't expend any different this year.

This is not true. MN got a good amount of Backyard last year, it just arrived late (March, maybe)? And we got a second shipment of Barleywine a couple of months after the initial drop, a pretty decent amount actually, as well. But not much Coffee:slight_smile:.

Wow, just went back and looked at the thread from last year. Totally missed the Backyard 4 months after the normal release. Very odd we got some in March.

Are we finally finally seeing the effects of GI being bought out? And the barrel program guys having all left?

Based on the palates of one or two guys? That's a gigantic conclusion to leap to!

Anyways, enjoy the chase, y'all. One bottle limits means it's really going to be easier (& probably cheaper) to just trade for a four-pack where it lands in greater quantities.

Went to Surdyk's - in and out with my two-bottle limit in no time.

LOL. St. Louis Park Byerlys is limit 2 ($6.99) and you must buy a 12 pack of some other Goose Island product. I think I'll just try to trade for some this year.

I was told from some of the Minneapolis stores this morning the West Metro is the only group that has variants right now, and the other stores will get them next week based on the chain of distributors.
