With a 1 case limit I have a feeling you won't need to be there early. I can see this lasting into the afternoon, or maybe I'm just underestimating the growth of hype surrounding this IPA.....

Anyone want to hit Novare for "lunch" after this? My parents are in Scarborough, so I'm coming up for the weekend and would love to set up a small bottle share or just get together for a brew.

Thanks for the hotel advice everyone, I have decided to stay at the holiday inn in freeport, about 6 minutes from MBC. I don't really want to do too much driving on friday night (freeport to portland) so can anyone recommend a decent bar with some craft beers on draft in the freeport area?

I am in the same dilemma. Three hours is a feasible trip to make and not too bad, but when you factor in getting there early enough to guarantee getting beer it gets complicated. Either its a very rough morning driving with no sleep to get there way early, or its the risk of driving three hours, not getting dinner, and driving three hours back and being miserable all the way home.

Oh so that's why I saw your random Barreled Souls review as I headed up to my mom's house who also lives in Scarborough! Very convenient location wise :-)

My usual schedule is this past weekend and the weekend after Christmas, so no Dinner bottles. But I hope some is still left on draft in several weeks!

So, you guys are willing to drive 6 hours round trip, but not get up at 4? Might as well go big if you are spending 6 hours in the car!

I'm headed up to Portland tomorrow but won't be up there till midafternoon 2-3. 1.) Does this make the day? 2.) Do you need to buy an entire case? I don't need 12 bottles of a DIPA. TIA

1.) It hasn't yet. I don't know how accurate but MBC tweeted that showing up after 9:30am is probably pushing it. 2.)No you don't.

Excellent point. It's always interesting to see where people set their limits. I would get up at any time of night for a theoretical beer release that I wanted to attend, but no way would I ever factor in literally 8 hours between car rides and sitting in lines.

Yeah, i ordered a mean old tom i think it was at a place and it was may 2013! I really love most of their beer and had the pleasure of going there in Freeport this Fall..but one problem I have is buying their beers in bottles at bars. Most places charge a solid $9.50-10.50 for essentially a pint of beer.

I'm with you. I just drink the regular pales, and Mo is my favorite MBC beer. I'm also not a big hop head. I buy a couple bottles of MO a year. Would probably buy more if it was like 12$ a six pack or something.

Can someone going post tomorrow if it seems it won't sell out right away? I would like to head up from portland but I'm not gonna get up super early and I don't want to waste a trip up going a bit later either.

We are about 225 in line. They said 350 cases. The line behind us is long....
