anyone can bold selected words from another person's post and infer whatever they want, but does it really matter? like i said, trying to give these guys the benefit of the doubt and if asking if there was a winner or if they backed out to you means that i am suggesting that they backed out, then fine...i suggested/am suggesting that they backed out. you win your battle of semantics - hooray for you! thank you for your contribution to the thread.

i think it would be safe to say that anyone posting in this thread asking about the winner is questioning if they backed out..or they are curious in one way or another...otherwise they wouldn't post asking for a status. there is no need for pitchforks towards the folks running the LIF or those of us asking what the status is. if you just came here to pick a fight, then keep it out of the thread and converse with me or whoever you have a problem with...fighting over semantics gets old fast. let's keep this on topic please.

Sorry for getting upset that you accused my good friends of something they haven't yet done, and then tried to act like you were just trying to help get the ball rolling, or whatever. Not trying to fight over semantics, just calling you out on your flip flop. You've become quite the politician around here.

So then why mention this? What does that have to do with this particular LIF?

I'm sure they will come back here and wrap this up. Truth be told, I haven't heard from either of them since Dark Lord Day (and we're good friends IRL), and I know neither have been very active since the site migration. I already put in a BM to find out what's up. Just leave it be.

 

Yikes, I didn't expect to fan the flames there. Sorry about that. (And since this is the internet, I feel the need to specifically mention that there is no sarcasm in the previous statement)

 

Heard back from ridglens this morning (not sure why he didn't post here, but w/e). He assured me that this is still on, and will be decided on whenever they can get together and that it should be "soon". Sounds like their schedules haven't aligned in quite some time (probably since DLD, if I had to guess).

In case you don't know (I know Indiana geography probably isn't a point of interest for many of you ), Terre Haute (hayesez) and Bloomington (ridglens) aren't exactly right next door, and I know their intention all along (as was stated in the OP on the old site) has been to sit down and go through all of the entries together over a beer or three. Also consider that everyone who entered probably did some truly awesome deeds, so while they understand a decision is long overdue, I'm sure they don't want to quickly make a decision without giving everyone serious consideration just because there's a little unrest amongst the villagers.

Don't worry entrants, there's still free beer to be had! Thanks for your patience along the way.

Big, big thanks to ridglens and HayesEz. Just floored by the box. While most of this will be shared at Thanksgiving with my usual tasting group comprised of: NHLakesBrewer, genovm, ProperPinter, a few of the southern Maine folks and invited friends/significant others, that '12 BBA DL will be split 4 ways over Lobster rolls later today.

Simply wonderful. I realize one of the 'tasks' was to have a beer with the LIF hosts, so just as soon as I'm in IN, I'll be happy to buy a couple pints!
