Great Lakes Brewing has released the names of the four beers — including two new ones — to be included in its first-ever Spring Variety Pack. The 12-pack, scheduled to be released in April, will feature:

    • Truth, Justice and the American Ale, a 4.8 percent alcohol by volume session IPA. It previously has been available at the brewpub on draft.

    • Lawn Seat Kolsch, a 4.8 percent kolsch-style ale.

    • High Striker Single, a 4.8 percent Belgian-style ale.

    • Holy Moses White Ale, a 5.4 percent Belgian-style wit.

"Proceeds from Spring Variety Pack sales will benefit our 2015 Green Tour partners. More information on our Green Tour coming soon!" the brewery said on its website.

The Lawn Seat Kolsch and High Striker Single are new. (Check out the labels submitted to the federal Alcohol and Tobacco Tax and Trade Bureau below.)

Looks nifty. I thought I heard GL is changing labels next year?

The kolsch sounds good but I haven't really liked any white (or black) ales. I don't see the appeal.

I think these labels may reflect the subtle changes to their labels, or these are just "approval mock ups"

From the release about the new labels:

Sounds good. Would sound great if this was a summer release and not a spring. I won't be craving most of these beers until mid June.

I rarely look forward to a GL release but maybe times are a changin'.

With GLBC finally bottling a Pumpkin ale and now a session IPA and Kolsch, 2015 is looking good!

Not me. These types of brews are all good ballgame brews and the Tigers play an away series against Cleveland at the beginning of April and a home series at the end of April. Seems like a really good pack for something like that. Go Tigers!

I hope not. I think GL has some of the more iconic packaging out there. Classic.

Nice info. I'm loving my darker beers, Talisker whiskey, and thinking about just what Winter may throw our way this year, not Spring beers. The marketing machine is relentless and I'm glad Xmas music has passed us by for now, but the Aurora Borealis and deep Winter are not here yet! Everything is 6 months out, losing time.

    Stoner or English major?

I'm very excited for anything new from Great Lakes. They are one of my favorite breweries that I can get consistently that aren't driven by insane hype. I couldn't possibly care less about the session IPA, but all the others will be worth a shot or two, especially the koelsch.

Super excited about the kolsch. The art work/design is pretty cheesy on all those labels.
