Has Zombie Dust gotten worse?

Zombie Dust is not a session IPA.

 

especially if not stored in at least a refrigerator and hopefully in a dark spot as well.

 

Okay. People call beers styles that the brewery might not classify it as. Regular ipa, Whatever

 

it's in the bjcp guidelines except for IBU's. i know, the bjcp sucks or whatever.

 

Better or worse, I still get that special feeling when I see a lone sixer in the cooler after work and discover that it's actually fresh-ish.

 

As a former Chicagoan who colleged in Northern IN, I love me some Zombie Dust. I'll be in Chicagoland Dec. 20-28 and am planning to hit FFF at some point. For those in the area, does Zombie Dust drop on certain days? Or is it just a random "check the bottle to go list" kinda thing? I know it is usually on tap and my wife and I will go to the brewpub anyway because we love it. It would just be a cherry on top to go on a day where we could get some ZD bottles to go. Any info is appreciated. Cheers!

 

Most seem to say that ZD will drop anytime from Tue-Fri and may last anywhere from hours to over a day after that. My best bet is to keep an eye on http://www.3floyds.com/beers-to-go and hope for opportune timing!

 

I'm drinking a bottle dated 11/26 right now (#20 out of the case I got from that day), and they have all tasted the same. So, take that for whatever it's worth.

Still has the hype though, as I saw old men drooling at Binnys today at the chance to buy 2 bottles, not 6 packs, just 2 bottles. I passed and picked up 2 packs of Heyoka instead.

LOL, you know it. Just dont understand how people chase ZD and let Heyoka just sit on the shelf. I think ZD has now crossed over to the non-craft beer crowd. Just my 2 cents.

 

What a shame. I remember when Zombie Dust was just for smart people.
