    Review fun:

Very nice Nelson Sauvin pale ale. Very pale golden straw appearance, with nice head retention and lacing. Taste of bright lemon, orange zest, pear, apple, white grape, peppercorn, cracker, bread, and herbal/straw/grassy hop earthiness with a bit of yeastiness. Nice peppery bitterness on the finish. Very bright on hops with light-moderate pale malt balance that is just enough to be noticeable. Very smooth and crisp finish; slightly hop sticky as well. Very well done I don't think I've had a single hopped nelson beer before, but I can really see the true character of this hop now. Nicely spicy and bright fruity character.

A damn nice saison. Tastes of lemon, orange zest, pear, apple, white grape, light banana, pepper, clove, wheat, cracker, bread, herbal, straw, grass, and herbal hop/yeast earthiness. Nice spicy yeasty finish. Really well balanced malt and yeast flavors. Very smooth and fairly crisp finish; not really all that dry or highly carbonated but that's ok with me. More of a saison/belgian blonde ale hybrid or something; but it's really damn delicious with nice yeast complexity and moderate pale bready malt sweetness in flavors. Would drink again.

Wow this is really damn good. Spot on wee heavy. Taste of big caramel, toffee, toast, brown sugar, brown bread, nuttiness, raisin, plum, fig, date, apple, herbal, floral, light peat smoke, and yeast earthiness. Minimal herbal spice bitterness on the finish. Extremely well balanced malt and yeast fruitiness; zero cloying sweetness. A lot of all around nice complexity. Nice that this is a year round, I would give this a go again for sure.

    I wouldn't believe you. :stuck_out_tongue:
I only remember it being brewed in 2012 for the whole Mayan end of calendar thing and then just last year.
I ain't against it though, they need another "big" beer in their yearly release calendar!

Yes it was originally brewed and released December 2012, then they released it in December of last year and this year as well. I thought they had label art and everything for this years release but they ended up bottling it with the standard scratch beer label for some reason. I'd expect it to be back out in 2015 too.

    Finishers:

Simcoe/Amarillo is amazing. A definite Ohio IPA I don't get enough when I am down there.

Last one from the 6 pack. Bright citrus/pineapple hops and toasted rye bready malts. Still really nice.

Fresh 6 pack bought last week. Always outstanding.

Last from the my current 6 pack. Best Belgian IPA ever made in my books, will definitely grab another pack if it is around next time I am beer shopping. It's world class fresh, but still amazing with a bit of age.
