Not the burbs, but just got back from Liquor Park (1937 W North Ave) who had still 6-8 of them.

Anyone opened the BA Elijah Revival?

Just open the regular version and it was nice. Lots of noticeable yeast. Don't usually get that, even though i know the bottle warns of it.

I opened The Revival last night and it was so damn delicious. Highly recommend seeking this one out. I love that it was aged in both Elijah Craig 12 barrels, and recycled Heaven Hills barrels that had Jones Dog. Had a really nice sweet caramelly bourbon flavor. I would really like to drink this one side by side with The Murderous and see how a BA wheatwine and BA barleywine stack up.

    I might just do this.

I find BA wheatwines to have more of a butterscotch flavor. The barricale Elijah's Revival was one of my favorite beers at FOBAB.
Also, zommelier could be cool in a barrel

You'll definitely have to let me know what you think if you do. Fortunately 3 stops and 3 liquor stores later, I now have 3 more bottles of The Revival to make this happen.

Super excited when I saw this come across on their FB page:

Da garage door is open, why? Because we're tagging a bunch of new kegs! We'll be kegging 100% of the "Beta version" of Lizard King, our new 6.5%ABV Mosaic and Amarillo dry-hopped pale ale that'll be featured in 16oz cans when we're brewing in the new production facility! We'll have a simultaneous tapping of this beer across some of your favorite spots around Chicago... deets to follow... >=)

Ostrich New Beer Will Be Best?
Hey Friends! Have you already broken your resolutions yet? We have. But, just stoping pun-making cold turkey is really hard.

    Distro has begun!

    NEW! Belgian Gothic
    -Belgian Style Stout-
We've brewed this Belgian style stout with a spicy, phenolic belgian yeast, and a rich creamy body with only a gentle roast character. When Gerrit and Beejay were learning how to brew beer at De Struise in Belgium, they lived on an ostrich farm. That's really the only connection. No ostriches were harmed in the making of this beer. No Grant Wood paintings were harmed in the making of this beer, either. Only parodied.
    $9.99, 22oz, 9% ABV

    NEW! End Boss
    -Hoppy Triple-
This triple has been brewed with a Belgian yeast (a fruitier Belgian yeast than Belgian Gothic), and fermented this pup at a higher than usual temp for optimal yeast character. Then we topped this off with some Amarillo hops. It's seriously next level. Do you have what it takes to take on the End Boss?
    22oz, $9.99, 9% ABV

    Pipeworks Cascade
    -Cascade Hopped DIPA-
.Pipeworks Cascade has been growing and nurturing his infamous high alpha kick and aromatic abilities at Master Nunzino's Hop Head Farms. Hop Head Farms is where the strongest, most able hops go to enhance and punch up their Unicorn battling abilities. When you can snatch the ale from the shelves, you will be ready to drink, Grasshopper. Remember grasshopper, drink early, drink often, drink early, drink often, oh yeah, and wax on. And off.
    $10.99, 22 oz, 9.5% ABV

    Imperial Hyper Dog
When you we add coffee to our Imperial Milk Stout called Jones Dog, this Dog moves fast! It's rich, it's chocolatey, it has a velvet finish. It's perfect for a night in next to a furry friend, a fireplace, or just a good buddy who has a pretty epic beard.
    $10.99, 22 oz, 10.5% ABV

    On the Horizon:

Cinnamon Beerd O's- A cinnamon sugar cereal milk inspired ale.
NEW! Crimson Snapper - Mosaic and Citra hopped iIPA brewed with honey and blood oranges
Pipeworks Ninja vs Unicorn - DIPA brewed with o ton o hops!

Has anyone kept up and tried all of the Pipeworks beers (at least one release of each)?

I have a strong urge to do and wish I could have, but I estimate that would require more monogamy and commitment than I can manage.

This has popped up a couple times in this and former PWs threads. I know there are some BAs that are over 100 - I don't know if anyone but PWs employees have had every single offering. I'm at 75 now with #76 (The Revival) chilling for tonight. It's definitely a commitment....in dollars. But I'd be lying if I said I haven't enjoyed the ride. Canning cannot come soon enough though!

The only BA PWs I'm missing is Last Kiss; and the funny thing is I enjoyed that base beer more than any of the others that got barreled. If anyone has an extra they'd be willing to trade please hit me up!

Can't believe I didn't really notice this until now - there are two entries for BA Jones Dog and BA Impy Jones Dog. Old batch and new batch? I think one was 75 and the more recent in the 200s. Or is this just a duplicate entry.

2nd batch was 209...and it was fantastic.

BA Jones Dog was draft-only at FoBAB 2012. It was based on the lower-ABV recipe.

All the bottled versions are BA Imperial Jones Dog.

Sounds like you're just fibbing to increase your PW number. Typical.

That's my other BA account @Fibster. He only drinks Steel Reserve though.
