This release was absolutely rediculous. Even the smaller mom and pop stores that usually fly under the radar in the burbs sold out immediately. I went to one store around 5:30 after I got off work and the owner said they sold out almost immediately after they got it. I then called 1 other store that I frequent here and there and the owner said they sold out immediately as well. I can only imagine all of the "hunters" that were in full chase mode the last couple days snagging this up. Oh well, I guess I'll have to wait for Abrasive.

I can't wait til the distributors start equipping their trucks with smokescreen and oil slick capabilities.

I can't wait until their new digs are fully operational and we can see some increased batch sizes on those beers that have demonstrated an unusually large demand.

I have a request. I'm trying to get a look at the locations for this Lizard King thing on 1/30, but I don't have a facebook account which I believe is preventing me from seeing the post. Can someone embed or cut/past the locations here? Thanks in advance!

And to think that I feel like a bit of a loser when I scramble following a tweet from my favorite beer store.

The only problem is that the greater ability to produce higher capacities still doesn't secure for them ingredients that are hard to come by. Most of their sought after DIPA's use Citra which PW's has been on record saying they have very limited/if any currently secured in 2015.

For sure, I wasn't really referring to the short term, but I have to imagine that that has been/will be straightened out with new contracts for the coming years. There's no questions that those beers are wildly popular, so it would stand to reason that they would exhaust all options in making sure they have the ingredients they need to continue to make the beers that people want to drink (lots of). Plus with the ability to produce larger batches, I'd also imagine that their buying power is enhanced which will hopefully factor into their ability to secure contracts for the more sought after hops varieties. However, I have zero experience in the hop trade so I could be completely off base.

The Snapper has come and gone from all my usual spots. Even a place that still has Black Tuna hanging out on the shelf. Oh well. I'll just squeeze these blood oranges I bought into a different double IPA.

Had Snapper at Xoco today with lunch. Still had at least 8 bottles. $15 per bottle, so really not a bad markup, and you get to eat Xoco tortas. I call that a win-win!

For those in the West burbs, the Bolingbrook binnys got a case in today but didn't tweet it out. I stopped by there at 6:30 and they had a few bottles from their case left.
