Last year there were a few allocations that weren't ready until the middle of the month.

How about some Freckled Or Xata?

I know I'll be trying it. Kind of excited about the Freckle. Definitely happy to get another bottle of #9!!!!

Oh, yeah, Mango Hottenroth for realz!!!!

And shit, Jardinier at $5.19 after discount could be my summer beer this year.

Hence why I said generally. Usually, they specify the ready pick-up dates in the e-mail.

In for a Melange 9. I'll make my other purchases leisurely. I think I still have an Or Xata from last year....that could be a fun side by side.

Do you want me to buy you out of your half of the Hoarder's membership and you don't have to complain or worry about it anymore?

    From the email:
In a broad sense, I'm a bit concerned about how backloaded the year could end up, but I'd rather they release beer when it's ready, especially since they're communicating about it. The lack of even one RS-exclusive this month is a bit odd, but Or Xata is a welcome return and Freckle sounds like it has the potential to be pretty tasty. Every year has a month or two that's slower, it just happens to be the first couple months this year. Still hoping to see Sour in the Rye soon, though.

I guess paying $700 plus I should not expect anything that I could not buy if I did not pay for membership
Sdreaper maybe you can afford to just give a brewery money in advance but I have supported the Bruery for a long time and feel that I deserve to be taken care of as a long time customer. But maybe I am wrong and don't deserve a thing

But it seems like a broken record as of late. =P

I also read the list of offerings to RS members, read about when they expected Terreux to be opened, and concluded that odds of sours and a ton of their bottles may not be readily available until later in the year. Did this allocation kinda fall off this month? Sure. Will it bother me? Not in the slightest because I am almost 100% positive the Bruery will always make good on what we are told.

Edit: Patience is a virtue. Best to learn it while you are young.

I'm pretty sure you are going to have the opportunity to buy plenty of beer this year that you can only get with a membership.

You can add while also making us lowly RS-only members sad. That mango hottenroth sounds delicious and I am stoked to finally get the chance to try winefication later this year so I can see what all you HS members have been enjoying for quite some time now.

Maybe it's just me but I feel like everybody sees this massive list of beers and expects a big release a month....to be honest I feel like the Bruery needs to find a balance between telling us everything that will be released and not telling us much at all. I liked being in reserve when they didn't say a whole lot about what would be released. It was like a surprise every month. I'm happy with the pace of things and really think it's waaaaay to early to make a judgement of what is to come this year.

I think the lack of a schedule worked better when the RS was young and there were far fewer releases per year - even in a big month, it wasn't going to be more than a couple beers. Ultimately, I'd like to see them return to a rough schedule, albeit with the understanding that releases will slip, but I also understand that 2015 is very much a transitory year with construction, Terreux opening, etc. Having an expectation of what's coming in a given month helps budget and prioritize, which will only be the Bruery's benefit if they want to keep getting a big chunk of people's beer spending in the face of increased competition in he high end beer club space.
