For Those interested in the Younger release. . . .

Nice, man! I have 3 attempts I can make at going, I might have to try this even on a Friday or Saturday night. Otherwise, even if the younger is done, I still need some time there to try all of the other awesome stuff they have on tap...so I can go back twice, if necessary.

 

When is the last day for Younger? I've never even tried to go but late on Sunday night is doable. Or Monday for lunch.

 

I assume there is no drinking in line, so are there any decent bars close by where your group can trade off and grab a few beers? What type of wait would you expect on Monday Feb 16th? Does the Younger start at 4pm on Monday the 16th?

 

Probably. The problem (if that's what we want to call it) is that for every person who says "been there, done that" and is never going to wait eight hours in line for any beer ever again, there's ten more who just discovered this wacky craft beer thing and can't wait to fly in from Bumfuck, Nowhere so they can get in line at 3 in the morning.

 

Agreed. I don't think we'll reach peak Younger for a few more years. Some people enjoy the "experience" and more power to them, but that likely means it gets worse before it gets better. Darren Rovell (the worst) even tweeted about the wait at the pub this year.

 

So...in San Fran now...(score) can't go until Friday night, though....

Can anyone report on whether or not they have actually even run out of the younger on any day yet?

I always love how PP san clemente does it. was there last year on a monday afternoon and the bartender said we Might be tapping younger in like a half hour. year before, the same thing. then someone tweeted it out and the place was packed. just love how its thrown on without the hype and bullshit of waiting in line, and usually not even getting a glass.

 

Got in line at 10 pm yesterday, 30 min wait, Younger was still being poured until last call.

 

Small aside here, what is the going rate for filling a growler of pliny? As I recall a year or two ago it was $14, but that's before they raised the prices on all their bottles. Thanks!

 

Got in line Monday morn little before 8 and was barely in the first group to get in in the first wave. Came back Tuesday night at 9 and waited 20 min and younger was still pouring. Had a great time both days!

 

Girlfriend just got a wild idea to make the trek to RR from OC this weekend since it's a holiday weekend. Anyone got any guesses for what might not be the absolute worst time to go???

 

Holiday weekend/ski week =worst time to go. Best bet is to go later at night.

I've never heard of anyone filling growlers with the Younger. And for $14? not saying nobody does it, just I never heard of that. Needless to say that would be awesome.

I was lucky enough to get it at Stone Escondido on Tuesday. About a 5 minute line to buy the ticket at the bar, and about another 5 to pick up my two 8 oz. glasses. 4 was the limit to buy. The lines disappeared after about the first hour and the Pliny lasted for at least two hours. Luckily I didn't have to drive home!

 

I'm sure the above poster was referring to Elder. I think it was like $15 last time I got a fill, but can't quite remember. I'm sure someone will know.

You could get growlers of Younger up until the Great Shitshow of 2010.
