Vacuum pumping will cause the beer to go flat quicker.

Even better for me. But if you give it a couple tugs instead of voiding the entire space, you'll create a better seal and keep more of the gas in. Yeah, if you pull out all of the air then the CO2 will eventually fill that space. By creating a seal, you'll pull some CO2 out of the beer but lose less than if you hadn't created the seal in the first place.

At least that's what I've found through experience. Just anecdotes, no evidence.

The cork from a bottle of Macallan scotch fits snugly into the top of a Bruery bottle. Works great.

Also: Whoever mentioned that the bigger Bruery beers are better on the 2nd night, I agree completely.

Weird, there was nothing that implied Freckle was limited.

If you latch the stopper down on the wax and then squeeze and twist it, it will cut into the wax and seal just fine.

I've read this before and don't understand it. A simple slice from the bottom of the wax to the ridge, and you can peel the entire piece off easily. I've never had wax residue left over on a Bruery bottle.

In all honesty it's due to laziness. Would prefer opening a bottle of beer to only be a one-tool operation. The bottle opener I typically use has sharp enough prongs to usually get right under the cap through the wax and take the whole thing off.

I had my first Freckle last night. I was really happy with the flavor profile and thickness. I like the price, but boy if it was $9.99 that would be killer. Good ABV level too.

    I'll be maxing.

Update on the RS 32oz HydroFlask. Last night I poured 22oz of cold DIPA into it 6PM, brought it to my bowling league, sipped on it for over 2 hours (I know I was babysitting it) and it stayed cold the entire time. I think it could've easily gone longer. I did buy the top from Amazon as recommended from a fellow BA. No leaks whatsoever. Also not one question or look from teammates or bowling alley staff. LEGIT.

I was actually going to post about it today  Anyway, here's my update. Since my initial fill (which spilled a little on my way home - an hour long drive), I used the flask twice for shipping (in case someone is wondering). Shipping was to Louisiana. First trip quite successful, I was told that a tiny bit spilled, but the way back was a disaster. Almost everything got out of the growler, luckily (thanks to great packaging) it didn't get out of the box. Surprising part was that the growler was still super tight and hard to open and yet all the beer managed to drip out. I'm not blaming the growler since who knows what happened to the package.
Anyone else had any experience with shipping those? For now, I'm just sticking to testing mine with water. Maybe it is something wrong with it, maybe not..we'll see. Oh, to be clear, I'm not trying to complain here, just giving some (hopefully useful) info.

Damn @grze that sucks about the loss of beer on the way back. Which top did you use? I could imagine the flip top could come loose during transit and therefore could leak.
