yeah I figured that too. Just getting a growler fill of the Younger in the last 2 years is really unlikely, and for $14 a fill isn't happening.

I'll just confirm that you haven't been able to get fills of Younger for 4'ish years now. And when they did fill it I'm certain it was near the price of their sours which was right around $30.

I was talking about the elder, sorry for the confusion. $15, helluva deal still. Going to be having some younger attending friends fill some elder for me and was curious what they were going for nowadays.

    Thanks.

Going to try to go around 8 or 9 tonight. I realize it's Friday night but since I am staying in town, I can play it by ear. Heck maybe I'll try at like midnight. Haha

Final update... Waited 2 hours and got in. If you wait outside for 12 hours for this beer, well, you need to check into a mental institution. Good beer, but, don't waste your life on it.

Any places in San Francisco that have it on tap this weekend?

Any ideas about the line for tonight? I somehow ended up at a hotel near the airport in Santa Rosa and was hoping to swing by the brewery later tonight. With my family though and they don't want to stand in line to wait. Any chance of getting there later with minimal/no line?

Also can anyone rec a good bottle shop in the area?

Got my tickets yesterday at EAH. They have a set # they are selling. Once that # is reached, that is it. Sounds like 10oz pours (just like everywhere else) and based on the # of tickets I was told they had there WILL be some on the 23rd for the ticketless, not a lot though, but still there will be some leftover.

No. Younger's a great beer, but I wouldn't even wait 12 hours to drink it out of Angelina Jolie's bellybutton.

So...after reading through this thread, it looks like the PtY madness is starting to subside. I think it was at its peak the previous two years. #Options #NotTheOnlyKidOnTheBlock

Hmmmmmm I might have to disagree with you on that one. She has a very nice bellybutton.

I don't think the sentiment reflected here is indicative of the overall interest. There are plenty if people who enjoy beer that either are not active on this site or other beer enthusiast forums.

This could not be more spot on. Also for every one person who moves on from the PtY hype-train there are two dozen more newcomers just boarding.

I suspect one of the largest sources of new BA accounts from California are lurkers that are trying to figure out the best PtY spots to attend. LOL

We're clearly interpreting this year's PtY on-goings differently. The people who first had it (granted they seem to be a weird breed since they started a line six hours before the pub closed the night before as opposed to, you know, going in and enjoying the place) waited 17 hours. Hundreds lined up at multiple places in the city for it. 2014 may have been a little more crazy at the pub, but I don't see this dying down for a few more years...if ever.
